Tiny Doors ATL | Atlanta, GA
Ten years ago, artist Karen Anderson Singer, aka Tiny Doors ATL, began designing and placing seven-inch doors in various neighborhoods in Atlanta. The doors have become a magical viral sensation; her online doors map has been visited more than a million times! On this whimsical scavenger hunt, you’ll search for 28 miniature doors hidden in plain sight.
Pinecone Pathways | Pinehurst, Southern Pines, and Aberdeen, NC
The Pinecone Pathways scavenger hunt in North Carolina also went viral in its first year. In partnership with glassmakers from StarWorks, 100 glass pinecones are hidden along 32 selected trails throughout Moore County each spring. Each pinecone is a unique little piece of art made by local artists, and the hunt often comes with clues to make the search more exciting. They’ve seen searchers come from all over the country, and some hike more than 100 miles in search of a coveted pinecone!
Mice on Main | Greenville, SC
Greenville is nothing short of magical for many reasons, and searching for the Mice on a Main is a fun way to explore downtown. Prompted by the children’s book Goodnight Moon, a local high school student placed these little bronze sculptures in 2000. They have become beloved residents with their own board game, t-shirts, children’s book, and scavenger hunt.
Bootful Wimberly | Wimberly, TX

The hunt involves finding all these “bootiful” boots scattered around town, and they’re not hard to miss! It’s a fun, family-friendly way to get to know the town’s artistic spirit while exploring local shops, parks, and scenic spots.
Tree Spirit Hunt | Saint Simons, GA
The Tree Spirit Hunt on St. Simons Island, GA, is a charming scavenger hunt that’s artsy in a whole new way. Instead of adding art to his town, local artist Keith Jennings carves his art into trees. Scattered across the island, you’ll find mysterious faces carved into ancient oak trees, known as Tree Spirits. The carvings pay homage to the island’s maritime history and the lives of those who sailed on the island’s legendary oak-built ships.
