Alexandros Darsinos, the architect behind the jaw-dropping Grecian-inspired designs at Coral Club and cafe babu, has turned his sights to fashion β and Nashville is all the better for it. His new shop in Wedgewood-Houston, Leo Vas, is a fevered dream of silky dresses, breezy linen suits, and intricately beaded purses in neutral tones and earthy fabrics that weave together the coastal ease of the Greek Isles with the ornate and flowy tailoring of India.
Make it a full afternoon and grab a plantain latte and a pastry right across the street at cafe babu β his wife, Shivani Darsinos, owns it. (Power couple alert!)
Bell Bird Books

Situated right off of hot-and-poppinβ Houston Street, Bell Bird Books is quickly positioning itself as the resident neighborhood independent bookstore. Founded by Mary Ann Weprin, the cozy 900-square-foot shop features an eclectic mix of literary titles across genres in addition to a handpicked selection of specialty items, many of which are local, including stationery made in Brentwood and embroidery kits from Gallatin.

After founders Angela and Erin were diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, they embarked on a clean living journey whose time and research resulted in Good Better Best, a highly curated general store stocked with sustainable goods and products for both home and self. At their new shop in The Nations, you can find MADE SAFE-certified teen skincare products, bamboo paper products, unbleached parchment paper, and βlower toxβ refillable soaps and lotions.
