Vonlane: The Luxurious Way to Travel Between Nashville and Atlanta
Often described as "a private jet on wheels," Vonlane is a Texas-based premium travel company. They recently announced a luxury motor coach route between Nashville and Atlanta, and we've got the lowdown on everything you need to know.
The mileage between the fabulous Southern cities of Nashville and Atlanta is easily manageable, but the traffic β¦ donβt get us started on the traffic. What if we told you there was a game-changing travel option available that doesnβt involve airport security or the headache of navigating congested highways? We sat down with Alex Danza, founder and CEO of Vonlane, a Texas-based premium travel company that is expanding its offerings to include a luxury motor coach route between Nashville and Atlanta, beginning Friday, November 4.
With a background in ground transportation and the desire to bring something new to the motor coach industry, Alex set out to create a luxury form of transportation that didnβt involve the hassles associated with airports or self-driving. βVonlane was inspired by the fact that, specifically in Texas, we have these great cities that are population centers, commerce centers, and entertainment centers,β explains Alex. βThe only way to get between major Texas cities is to fly. Itβs probably as stressful (or more stressful) on the interstate, and itβs exhausting.β

At first, the idea was to tailor Vonlane to business travelers who wanted comfort, ease, and the ability to stay productive while traveling. βYouβre just falling behind on work during your whole travel experience, so my idea was to give travelers ease of use and stress-free, productive travel time,β explains Alex. After all, itβs not possible to pull out your laptop or phone while driving. Not to mention, airplane Wi-Fi is not always reliable. However, the concept appealed to all types of travelers, not just those traveling for work. βWhat happened was that Vonlane was embraced by leisure travelers as well, so today, we are a solution for leisure and business travelers.β
Most recently, Vonlane announced its expansion into the Nashville and Atlanta markets, offering direct routes to and from the Omni Nashville Hotel and the Grand Hyatt Buckhead. The expansion comes after success in major Texas cities like Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. The route runs seven days a week, offering three departures from each city on weekdays and two on weekends.

Alex adds that this new route also avoids the chaos often associated with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, which has been named the busiest airport in the world by Airports Council International. βAirports are just not a great solution for travel between Nashville and Atlanta,β says Alex. βMore people are doing the drive between them, but we can transport them safely and comfortably without the stress.β
From the booking experience to your travel day, youβre met with exceptional hospitality. In fact, this is one of the companyβs core values, which Alex attributes to Vonlaneβs rapidly growing success. βWe really instill exceptionalism into our team and everything we do,β he adds. βWhen people come aboard, they receive a first-class experience β as I tell people all the time, there are not many first-class experiences left for the average traveler.β
The luxury and comfort Vonlane is known for begins before you even board the motor coach. Travelers can book their trip via Vonlaneβs easy-to-use website, by calling their 24/7 customer service line, or via online chat. Alex adds that if you need to modify your trip, you can do so online without any modification fees.

Vonlane also offers a generous cancellation policy. If you cancel more than two hours before your trip, youβre guaranteed to receive some sort of refund. If you cancel more than 24 hours before your trip, youβll receive a refund on your credit card. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your trip, youβll receive a trip credit valid for six months.
When travel day arrives, youβre greeted by a friendly Vonlane attendant, and a water bottle awaits you in your assigned seat. Once the trip begins, the attendant takes your initial drink order β anything from soda to coffee, tea, sparkling water, juice, and more. From there, the attendant offers a snack basket filled with items like chips, nuts, crackers, cookies, chocolate, and nutrition bars.
Depending on the time of day, your trip may also include a meal service. During your trip, the attendant informs passengers about meals available that day β including options like salads, sandwiches, and wraps. After the meal, attendants bring lavender-scented hot towels for passengers to freshen up. A first-class experience, indeed.
