That’s a pretty bold statement: the BEST guacamole recipe out there. But this is confirmed by my family and friends. We all think it, so it must be true. Right?

My hack to make this super speedy guacamole is to get Kroger’s Medium Hatch Pico de Gallo (I buy the 12 oz size). It’s fresh and found in their produce section where the pre-chopped vegetables are. If you don’t like spicy foods very much, buy the mild version instead.

Yes, Kroger is our recipe underwriter, but they leave it completely up to us to find the products we really love. And, y’all, this pico is the best I’ve found anywhere. (If you don’t have a Kroger near you, I have a recipe for a quick and easy pico de gallo recipe right here.)

Beyond the pico, another trick is to NOT dive into your guac right away. Let it sit, covered, on your countertop for at least 20 minutes and up to an hour. This allows the flavors to blend, and it’s worth the mighty willpower to hold back. If you are having guests over, make it, and then go get ready. During that time, your guac just gets better and better.

This guacamole recipe is our family’s favorite. No matter what restaurant we are at or how good their guacamole is, I always get the feedback, “It’s really good, but not as good as yours.”

You’ll see with the recipe that I kept the spices easy to remember, and they are almost the same measurements. I find this easier to remember recipes on the fly. And, when you can just whip something up without opening a recipe, you always feel like a pro.

What to do with leftovers? Ummmm … we’ve never had any leftovers. And, this guacamole takes just five minutes to make!

Here is an Instagram Reel all about this guac if you prefer a video version of the recipe.

Best Ever Guacamole - Takes Just 5 Minutes to Make

This guacamole is so dang good! Two tricks to making it the best: if you have access to a Kroger, their fresh medium pico de gallo, found in their produce section, is amazing. Use that and you won't have any chopping to do. Better yet, they also have chopped up cilantro, so you really don't need to cut anything up except the limes! The other tip is to let you guac sit for at least 20 minutes before eating ... if you have the willpower!
