You know you’ve crossed into new territory when your not-quite-teenager starts recommending skincare products with the conviction of a Sephora sales associate. I was hooked the moment my daughter slid a Laneige sleeping mask across the counter like it was contraband. These facial skincare products have elevated my routine and smell so good that they make me question if I’m supposed to apply them to my face or eat them (I don’t, but dang, it’s tempting). They’ve hijacked my face and my wallet in the best possible way, and they’re all available on Amazon!

1. Éminence Organic Skin Care Stone Crop Hydrating Mist

Smells like: A spa in a forest. With a glass of wine. And magical fireflies flitting about.

I’ve been obsessed with Éminence Stone Crop Mist for years, and I think I may have earned some street cred when I introduced my oldest daughter to it. She said she could just imagine herself relaxing with cucumbers on her eyes.

There’s something downright holy about spritzing this stuff on your face. It’s fresh, green, slightly herbal, and somehow manages to smell both healing and expensive. Bonus: it hydrates like a boss, and it’s organic. Win-win.

2. Laneige Water Bank Cleansing Foam

Smells like: The cool, calm cousin of coconut water and cucumber toner.

Laneige is the gateway drug I didn’t know I needed, and this cleansing foam single-handedly launched my love affair. It foams up like a cloud (just mix in the tiniest bit of water) and leaves my face soft, clean, and thoroughly hydrated — even without any lotion. It’s gentle and dreamy, and not a bad price point considering it lasts a while. I’m not kidding, a little bit goes a long way. The picture below is deceiving!

3. Herbivore Botanicals Orchid Antioxidant Facial Oil

Smells like: The chicest flower shop you’ve ever been in.

Facial oils can be tricky. If they’re too oily, I begin to question whether I’m hydrating or marinating. But this one is everything. It smells soft and floral without being cloying, and it leaves your face dewy without slicking up your pillow.

My younger daughter said it smells like her favorite tea, and I can’t disagree. I use Herbivore Orchid Facial Oil when I want to feel like a mysterious woman in a French film who never seems to age. (Hey, a girl can dream.)

4. Éminence Organic Skin Care Strawberry Rhubarb Hyaluronic Serum

Smells like: A summer pie cooling on a cottage windowsill in the Cotswolds.

Éminence earned two spots on my list because, well, it deserves to. This serum is a love letter to nostalgic desserts. It’s tart, sweet, and creamy all at once. It’s also full of hyaluronic acid, which is the skincare equivalent of chugging Gatorade. Bonus points for working well for all skin types!

5. Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser

Smells like: A blueberry smoothie made by angels.

Even my skincare-skeptical partner sniffed the Glow Recipe Blueberry Cleanser and said, “That smells … amazing.” High praise. It’s fruity but subtle. Moreover, it’s a cleanser, makeup remover, and “bounce-maker” all in one. It’s kind of the overachiever of my skincare collection.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Cocokind Mymatcha Moisture Stick

This moisture stick legitimately smells like a matcha latte. It’s great for combating dry patches and pretending you’re serene. Plus, it’s kind of an all-in-one deal. It’s a moisture stick, yes. But it’s also an eye cream and a lip balm. Versatility is the name of the game here.

Neom Perfect Night’s Sleep Magnesium Body Butter

It’s technically not a face product, but this body butter smells like sleep in a jar. And we all know good sleep equals better skin!

Do I have fewer fine lines? Possibly. Do I smell incredible? Absolutely. Skincare may have started as a mother-daughter bonding moment, but it’s now a full-fledged love affair — with the added benefit of a morning routine I never cared about having before. (Post-coffee, of course.)
