The gyms are crowded, fast food lines are empty, and folks are sticking strong to their New Year’s resolutions. If getting into or staying in shape is one of your resolutions, allow these songs — hand-picked by Nashville’s fitness experts — to help kick your butt into high gear. Their choices will help you stay motivated and keep you moving all winter long.

We start the playlist off with two song selections from Amanda McGown, manager of Hot Yoga Plus Franklin. Ease into your workout with her picks: “Stockholm” by Judah and the Lion and “When I Am Able” by the Revivalist. From there, get energized by our current favorite song by the Weeknd*, “Rockin’,” chosen by Anna Tefel at Studio Novo.

Then, the beat picks up with “Running Wild” by Morgan Page and “DJ Turn It Up” by Yellow Claw*, submitted by Hot Yoga Plus Nashville Manager Amanda Bell, and “Boss” by Disclosure, submitted by Anissa Pollard of Marathon Pilates. Joe Johnson of Marathon Fitness pumps us up with “Wicked” by Future* and we stay motivated through “The Mack [David Zowie Remix]” by Nevada. Carrie Ward of The Bar Method keeps us moving with “The Business of Emotion” by White Sea and “Desire” by Years & Years.

Following “The Mack,” we start to recover with “Say You’ll Be There” by MØ, both selected by Lauren Beasley of Pure Barre. Continue your cool down with two more picks from Amanda McGown, “Gospel of John Hunt” by Alt-J and “Terrorist Suicide” by Neil Young.
