The sun is out and so are we! And with so many fabulous summer events in Nashville, it can be hard to choose which festival or function to attend. Whether you opt for NISSAN Taste of Music City, Musicians Corner, Jefferson St. Jazz & Blues Festival, CMA Fest, Nashville’s art crawls, American Artisan Festival or any of the 21 Nashville events this month, there is something for everyone.

What to wear? Well it’s no secret that Nashville summers are hot, muggy and can leave you feeling sticky. But the season’s best events are worth enduring the heat, so we’ve got the secret to a summer style that is polished yet comfortable for those humid girls’ nights out or bright and sunny activities. Light materials, breezy maxis, off-the-shoulder dresses and dressing up summer basics with fun accessories is the name of the game.

We teamed up with some of the coolest gals around town to create the warm-weather looks to keep you cool for every outing on the calendar. With so many music fests on the agenda, we turned to the ones who know how to dress for it best: the artists themselves. Local musicians Abigail Rose, Jenna Paulette, Sarah Darling, Abi and Natalie Stovall have creative spirits and bold personalities that shine through both in their music and their accessories of choice. Katie Ferrell with The Ideal Closet styled six looks incorporating each musician’s style. Whether you’re throwing on a pair of orange sunglasses, a metallic newsboy hat or pairing a dress with your favorite sneakers, we are all in favor of putting your own spin on classic summer silhouettes. Let’s take a look at the outfits!
