A beloved downtown celebration is back this season with a fresh new spin. On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, The District Nashville will host its 39th annual progressive party — this year reimagined around the theme High Notes & Highballs. Presented by Old Town Trolley, the fundraiser invites guests to stroll the city’s historic corridors while supporting the nonprofit dedicated to preserving them.

The evening will unfold across three of downtown’s newest and most buzzworthy venues: beginning at Blueprint Underground Cocktail Club in Printers Alley, then stopping at Hilton’s Bankers Alley Hotel, and finally concluding the evening at Luke Combs’s Category 10 on 2nd Avenue. At each stop, guests will enjoy elevated cocktails, curated bites, and entertainment — along with a buzzed-about silent auction at the final stop.

Former Nashville Mayor Megan Barry will also be making an appearance at Category 10 to present the Spirit of the District Award to winner Gary Bowie, a downtown resident, investor, and vocal preservationist.

“This year’s venues bring a whole new energy,” says Rick Ryan, Marketing Lead and Board Member of The District Nashville. “It’s a chance for our guests to experience The District in a completely fresh way — walking through history while stepping into Nashville’s future. Just as important, this event helps us continue the essential work of preserving our historic corridors while making the ongoing improvements that keep downtown vibrant.”

This event remains one of Nashville’s best-kept secrets, blending Nashville’s distinct local flavor with a cause that directly benefits downtown. Over the years, proceeds from the progressive party have funded essential improvements, including new landscaping, expanded sidewalks, enhanced lighting, and seasonal decorations that make Second Avenue and Broadway so inviting year-round.

With this year’s refreshed theme, High Notes & Highballs pays homage to the city’s music roots while raising a glass to its future. All-inclusive tickets are available now for $75 each, and with only one night to experience this unique downtown tradition, you won’t want to miss out.
