This creative salad recipe can be made over an outdoor grill or indoors, using a grill pan. Your choice!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 heads of romaine cleaned and cut in half lengthwise
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Kosher salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 heirloom tomatoes preferably yellow and red, cut into small chunks
  • 10 scallions skins removed, thinly cut on the bias
  • 10 slices of bacon baked until crisp and brushed with maple syrup
  • 10 oz gorgonzola or blue cheese crumbled
  • Candied pecans store-bought
  • Blue cheese dressing store-bought

Instructions
 

  • Once the romaine is cut in half, drizzle with a little olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Place the romaine over a hot grill or grill pan until lightly charred.
  • Transfer romaine to a platter or plate and drizzle with your favorite store-bought creamy blue cheese dressing.
  • Top with even layers of the remaining ingredients, and enjoy!
