Spicy-Sweet Roasted Pecans
Ingredients
- 2 cups pecans
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp dark brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350º and line a baking sheet with foil.
- Spread your pecans in an even layer, and toast for 10 minutes, stirring every 3 minutes.
- While the pecans are toasting, melt your butter in a medium bowl. Add the brown sugar, maple syrup, salt, cayenne, and cinnamon. Stir until well combined.
- Pour the toasted pecans into the seasoning mixture and stir until the pecans are coated.
- Spray nonstick spray on the foil you're already using, then pour the pecans back onto the sheet in an even layer. Cook for 10 minutes; allow to cool before serving.
- Serve these on their own, sprinkled over salads and roasted vegetables, or piled onto a holiday charcuterie board. Enjoy!
