Spicy-Sweet Roasted Pecans

These sweetly-spiced pecans are delicious served on their own, sprinkled over salads and roasted vegetables, or piled onto a holiday charcuterie board.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups pecans
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350º and line a baking sheet with foil.
  • Spread your pecans in an even layer, and toast for 10 minutes, stirring every 3 minutes.
  • While the pecans are toasting, melt your butter in a medium bowl. Add the brown sugar, maple syrup, salt, cayenne, and cinnamon. Stir until well combined.
  • Pour the toasted pecans into the seasoning mixture and stir until the pecans are coated.
  • Spray nonstick spray on the foil you're already using, then pour the pecans back onto the sheet in an even layer. Cook for 10 minutes; allow to cool before serving.
  • Serve these on their own, sprinkled over salads and roasted vegetables, or piled onto a holiday charcuterie board. Enjoy!
