The Royal Standard

Calling all fiber artists! Magic City Fabric is a new specialty shop and maker space in Avondale. Those in the craft space may know owner Bea Cross as one of the individuals behind the Alabama Fiber Festival, and she brings her expertise and network of local master crafters to provide classes and workshops for all skill levels at the store. The shop carries a variety of high-quality, boutique fabrics and tools for your next project, including machine rentals and large-scale pattern printing.

Stone Hollow Farmstead Of Earth and Home + Tracy-Barrett Interiors

Two Birmingham favorites have joined forces to open a curated home, gifts, and design shop in Homewood. Within the “Design Collective” on 18th Street South, you’ll find the stunning stylings of Tracy-Barrett Interiors, along with farm-fresh provisions and blooms from Stone Hollow Farmstead of Earth and Home. This is Stone Hollow’s second outpost for its Harpersville family farm, the first being FarmStand in Pepper Place.


Magnolia Soap and Bath Co.

Located at Vestavia City Center, Magnolia Soap and Bath Co. offers plant-based soaps, scrubs, lotions, and more. The first Magnolia soaps were made in a Mississippi kitchen 10 years ago, when founder Magen Bynum decided to make her own “irresistibly decadent” products that would be safe for her daughter’s sensitive skin. Each store makes its soaps in-house to provide ingredient and production transparency, and every product is made with sensitive skin in mind.

Avontuur

If you’re in Riverchase, you can now get your famous Trader Joe’s chili and lime tortilla chips closer to home — all thanks to the new TJ’s location across from the Galleria on Montgomery Highway. The store, which opened in May, offers Hoover shoppers grocery staples and cult favorites from its signature product line.

If you love Design Supply in Pepper Place, you’ll love Odette, the latest offering from acclaimed Birmingham-based designer Laura Vogtle. Odette is a curated furniture boutique featuring new and antique pieces, along with hand-picked home decor finds. The Pepper Place showroom replaces the beloved Richard Tubb Interiors, after the well-known Birmingham designer announced his retirement last year.
