As summer gives way to fall, Nashville’s September calendar is packed with plenty of reasons to get out and about. Live music, film screenings, fall festivals, wine tastings, arts events, fundraisers, and family-friendly fun are all on the agenda. Here are the highlights!

September 2, 2026: Science of Spirits, Brews & Potions
Explore the science behind your favorite drinks while you sample specialty cocktails, mocktails, spirits, wines, and brews. September 4 – 6, 11, 18 & 25, 2026: Musicians Corner Fall Series
Musicians Corner returns to Centennial Park with free, family-friendly live music every Friday evening in September, plus a three-day Free Fest over Labor Day weekend. September 11, 18 & 25, 2026: Fridays By The River
Friends of Shelby and East Nashville Beer Works invite you to kick off the weekend by the Cumberland River with a free, family-friendly beer garden at Shelby Park’s Riverview Pavilion. Held Fridays from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., the fall series pairs draft beer with food trucks, live music, and yard games — all while raising funds to support Shelby Park and Bottoms. September 11 – 13 & 17 – 20, 2026: Live in Studio A
Nashville Ballet opens its 2026/27 season with Live in Studio A, an intimate performance series at The Martin Center for Nashville Ballet. September 11 – 20, 2026: The Nashville Fair
The Nashville Fair comes alive again at The Fairgrounds with 10 days of classic midway rides, live music, livestock shows, racing pigs, creative arts competitions, fair food, and family-friendly entertainment. This year’s theme, “250: Fun for the Whole Country,” nods to America’s 250th anniversary, with new attractions including the Flight of the Pollinators exhibit alongside longtime fair favorites. nashfair.fun
September 12, 2026: St. Jude Walk Nashville
Step out for a cause at the St. Jude Walk Nashville, returning to First Horizon Park during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. September 12, 2026: September Wine Tasting: Harvest Along the Coast
An ode to West Coast winemaking, Yolan’s “Harvest Along the Coast” tasting is guided by Yolan’s expert wine team. You can sample four California and Oregon wines (and cheeses) while exploring the regions, varietals, and terroir behind each pour. September 12, 2026: Wine on the River
Wine on the River takes place at Riverfront Park from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., inviting you to “travel the world” with samples of wine, beer, and spirits inspired by regions across the globe. September 13 & 20, 2026: Tennessee Titans Home Games
Football is back at Nissan Stadium, and the Titans kick off the 2026 regular season with back-to-back home games! September 15, 2026: Unplugged Pickleball
Disconnect from your phone and reconnect with others on the court at Unplugged Pickleball, hosted by Crush Yard and the Phreedom Foundation. Players of all skill levels are invited to put their phones away, pick up a paddle, and enjoy an evening of movement, meaningful conversation, and friendly connection in a fun and welcoming indoor setting. September 15 – 19, 2026: AMERICANAFEST®
AMERICANAFEST® is five days of celebrating the best of American roots music. September 16, 2026: High Notes & Highballs
The District Nashville celebrates the 40th anniversary of its annual Progressive Party with “40 Years of Neon, Notes & Nightlife.” From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., you can sip, savor, and stroll through three downtown destinations, enjoying signature cocktails and chef-curated bites at each stop before ending the night with a silent auction — all in support of preserving the character and culture of 2nd Avenue, Printers Alley, and Lower Broadway. thedistrictnashville.org
September 18, 2026: Sunset Safari

September 19, 2026: Picnic for the Parks

September 19 – November 1, 2026: Cheekwood Harvest
Cheekwood Harvest returns for six weeks of fall color, with thousands of pumpkins, three interactive pumpkin houses, weekend live music, and a storybook-inspired Scarecrow Trail. September 20, 2026: Silent Book Club at Trade Room

September 22, 2026: RESPECT in Concert
Celebrate the Queen of Soul at RESPECT in Concert at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. September 23, 2026: Beyond Bourbon: A Benefit Bash for OZ Arts
OZ Arts Nashville raises a glass to the arts at Beyond Bourbon, pairing more than 30 top-shelf spirits, cocktails, wines, and beers with bites from Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint. September 24 – 30, 2026: 57th Nashville Film Festival
The 57th Nashville Film Festival showcases nearly 150 films from around the world at venues including the Belcourt Theatre, Regal Green Hills, the National Museum of African American Music, and Soho House. Opening this month at the Frist Art Museum, Shimmer: Dreaming the Posthuman explores the connections between humans, other species, and the planet through digital animation, augmented and virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and more.
