February may be a short month, but there’s no shortage of fun to be had around Louisville. With everything from Black History exhibitions to beer events and candlelight hikes, there are plenty of unique opportunities to get out and explore the city. Here’s how to make the most of the month!

February 7, 2026: Big Beers 2026 at West Sixth NuLu

Join Louisville beer lovers at this annual tasting event. From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., guests are welcome to sample some of West Sixth’s biggest, boldest, and booziest brews. Tickets start at $18, plus taxes and fees, and include five 5-ounce pours, as well as a tasting glass to keep. westsixth.com

February 7, 14, 21 & 28, 2026: Black History Month Film Series

Attend this free film series, which is open to the public and presented in partnership with UofL’s HSC Office of Health Equity and Engagement. Films include Zora Neale Hurston: Claiming A Space, The Woman King, Critical Condition: Health in Black America, and Little Richard: I Am Everything. A panel discussion led by UofL faculty follows each movie. lfpl.org

February 7 – 22, 2026: Louisville Jewish Film Festival

View 11 top-rated, thought-provoking films during this 28th annual event. The festival includes both in-person and virtual showings as well as special programs, including an opening-night event. Times and locations vary. Tickets start at $12. jewishlouisville.org

February 10 – 15, 2026: The Great Gatsby

Step into the classic American novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald via this Tony Award®-winning new musical that follows an unforgettable journey of love, wealth, and tragedy during the Roaring ’20s. Performance times vary, and tickets are available at louisville.broadway.com.

February 13 & 14, 2026: Valentine’s Candlelit Hike

Let candles light your way on a stroll under the stars this Galentine’s or Valentine’s Day. Warm up around the fire afterward, or head indoors to visit reptiles while enjoying snacks and drinks. Ages 18 and older are welcome. The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.; tickets are $22 for Louisville Nature Center members or $30 for non-members. louisvillenaturecenter.org

February 13 – 15, 2026: Valentine’s Cocktail Class

Celebrate the season of love at Liquor Lab’s Valentine’s Day cocktail experience. Classes are designed to put the pour into amour and capture the essence of romance. February 14, 2026: Cody Johnson Live

February 21, 2026: Lunar New Year Dinner & Auction

Celebrate the year of the fire horse at the Crane House’s biggest fundraiser of the year! The gala features a silent auction, canapés, dinner, a cocktail tasting, special entertainment, and more. The party starts at 5:30 p.m., and tickets are $298 per person. crane-house.org

February 21 – 26, 2026: USA Olympics Winter Cup and Elite Team Cup

Watch the qualifying event for the 2026 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships at the Kentucky International Convention Center. The Winter Cup also culminates in the selection of the Women’s and Men’s Senior National Teams, which are named following the competition. February 24, 2026: The Moth StorySLAM: Love Hurts

Listen to tales about the agony of deferred love, the misery of good love gone bad, and the anguish of one-way love. Speakers tell stories of hearts being kicked to the curb by the people, places, or things they’ve loved. February 25 – 28, 2026: Bourbon Classic

Experience the very best in bourbon, culinary arts, and cocktails at this annual event. February 27 & 28, 2026: Louisville Ballet’s Swan Lake

Witness the legendary story of tragic love in one of the most iconic ballets of all time. February 28, 2026: The Gravy Cup

Satisfy your gravy cravings while supporting Boys & Girls Haven at the world’s largest biscuits and gravy competition at Slugger Field. More than 30 professional chefs and home cooks showcase their best gravy recipes, and attendees vote for their favorite recipe.
