The country music scene is buzzing with fresh female voices, each bringing bold personalities, catchy tunes, and stories worth streaming. From heartfelt storytellers to glam-country game-changers, these five rising female country singers are putting a modern twist on a classic genre — and they might just be your new favorites.
Abbie Callahan
Vibe: Charming, fun, traditional roots
Song to Check Out: “Yo-Yo”
More Info: abbiecallahan.com
I first discovered Abbie Callahan when her song “Marry Jane” was served to me via a TikTok ad (yes, sometimes social media ads really do work!). I immediately fell in love with her voice and style. Her songs lean into the more classic side of country music, drawing inspiration from popular artists like Linda Ronstadt, Don Williams, and Sierra Williams. She recently released her debut album Grossly Aware, which is available on most streaming platforms.

Carter Faith
Vibe: Contemporary, heartfelt, polished vocals
Song to Check Out: “Bar Star”
More Info: carterfaith.com
Carter Faith first captured my attention when I saw her during a Girls of Nashville writers’ round — for good reason. After accumulating attention from a series of successful EPs and singles, she’s now set to release her debut album, Cherry Valley, later this fall. The album is said to reflect on some of Carter’s most formative musical influences, from Tammy Wynette to Nancy Sinatra, to achieve the “cowgirl hippie, and sometimes a bit trippy” aesthetic she’s been chasing.

Kaitlin Butts
Vibe: Bold, energetic, unforgettable live
Song to Check Out: “You Ain’t Gotta Die (to Be Dead to Me)”
More Info: kaitlinbutts.com
Kaitlin Butts is another country singer making major waves on TikTok, thanks to her hit single “You Ain’t Gotta Die (to Be Dead to Me).” The sassy song perfectly captures Kaitlin’s fiery personality and a life lesson she learned from her mother: to turn the other cheek when people hurt her. The single comes from her Roadrunner! album, which was heavily inspired by Oklahoma! — one of Kaitlin’s favorite musicals.

Maggie Antone
Vibe: Emotional, raw, authentic
Song to Check Out: “Everyone But You”
More Info: maggieantone.com
Maggie Antone first gained major attention on social media with a cover of Tyler Childers’ “Lady May.” This eventually snowballed into the release of Interpretations, an EP comprised of covers of other popular songs like “Jolene” by Dolly Parton and “Daddy Lessons” by Beyoncé. Her most recent album, Rhinestoned, dropped in the fall of 2024 after the success of its lead single, “Suburban Outlaw.”

Tanner Adell
Vibe: Glam country, playful, bold
Song to Check Out: “Snakeskin”
More Info: Instagram
Tanner Adell is another songwriter I discovered at a local Nashville writers’ round. Her style of music is best described as “country-pop,” and she even received a feature on Beyoncés album COWBOY CARTER with their cover of “Blackbird” by The Beatles. She also recently made waves on social media after sharing her personal adoption story, which is recounted in her song titled “Going Blonde.”

Happy listening!
