WHERE TO PLAY + EXPLORE

Dive into this town’s rich history, catch a show, mingle with the locals, or spend some time outdoors. There are plenty of lovely ways to enjoy Collierville, and here are a few of our favorites.

  • Morton Museum of Collierville History: A great first stop, admission is always free to this local treasure, which takes visitors on a stroll through the town’s 150-year history. The museum is housed in a beautiful Gothic Revival (former) church founded near the end of the Civil War and donated to the town in 2008.
  • The Harrell Performing Arts Theatre: Owned and operated by the Town of Collierville, this venue is a stellar showcase for local talent. For more than 20 years, the Collierville Arts Council has presented over 150 quality productions at the theater, including Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, the Musical this December.
  • Greenbelt Trails: The Collierville Greenbelt System offers more than 18 miles of well-maintained walking trails for anyone craving the great outdoors. For a more intense workout, head to the QR Fit Trail at H.W. Cox Park, where you can use your smartphone to scan QR codes along the way and access exercise videos targeting your core, flexibility, upper body, and lower body.

Johnson Park features scenic trails and boardwalks, making it a great spot for families, while Peterson Lake Nature Center offers lovely views — especially on pretty days. And don’t miss Hinton Park, home to a popular disc golf course.
  • Town Square: The Town Square looks like it’s straight out of a movie. And it actually is! Hallmark filmed scenes from Wedding at Graceland here, and it’s no surprise why. Charm radiates from the historic district, which features a mix of architectural styles, specialty shops, and more.
  • Main Street Collierville: Main Street Collierville works to keep the district vibrant and engaging through special events held throughout the year. Mark your calendar for the Holiday Open House on November 8, featuring decor, refreshments, and local merchants. Or grab your girlfriends and get ready for a night out on November 20, filled with holiday shopping, in-store giveaways, and prizes. And, of course, don’t forget to shop small on Small Business Saturday, which falls on November 29.

Happy exploring!
