RECIPE: Honey Apple Cinnamon Butter with Granola
Breakfast just got better. Keep this store-bought butter in your refrigerator and then layer it up for the best 10-minute WOW breakfast (or brunch) to surprise your family and impress your guests!
Imagine you have friends or family arriving in 15 minutes for breakfast, or they are already at your house and hungry. You can, in all seriousness, have this yumminess ready in no time, and look like you must have a catering business on the side! It’s delicious, beautiful, and widely appealing.
I’m leaning into a hack, courtesy of Kroger. They have two flavored butters that they sell in these little plastic containers, and I’ve been using them for years. For this recipe, I’m using two of the Honey & Cinnamon Butter, which, when combined, are only about $7.50. This is a super sweet butter concoction. Almost like thick icing (butter icing is only butter, sugar, milk, and vanilla), this butter works well with a warm biscuit to balance the sweetness and really shine.
I spread this butter out on my cake stand, then sprinkle granola on top of it. Next, I chop up half a Honeycrisp apple and sprinkle that on top. After that, I drizzle honey across the top, then top it with Maldon finishing salt flakes.
While making this, I pop some refrigerated flaky biscuits into the oven to bake for 8-10 minutes. I’m not one of those people who finds the need to make homemade biscuits. I appreciate them when I have the time, but when I’m in a hurry? Frozen or refrigerated ones work.
This entire plate of yumminess will be ready in about 10 minutes. The entire thing! Now, you’re the hero. The hero with biscuits. And honey apple cinnamon butter. And time on her hands.

Honey Cinnamon Butter Board with Granola - Cake Stand Dip
Ingredients
- 11 oz Honey & Cinnamon Butter (this is two containers) Private Selection brand, at Kroger
- 2/3 cup granola
- 1/2 honey crisp apple
- honey to drizzle
Instructions
- Place butter on the counter for about an hour to soften, or remove it from the container and stir with a very warm spoon to soften. I typically just pull it out of the refrigerator when I'm making my coffee and then it's ready whether I start making it in 45 minutes, or 3 hours. Just leave it on the counter until you are ready!
- Spread butter with spatula onto cake stand.
- Layer granola.
- Cut a large honey crisp apple in half. No need to peel it. Use 1/4 of the apple (that's half of the half that you've sliced) and dice the apple up. Thinly slice the other 1/4 to use as a garnish.
- Place the diced apples across the top.
- Drizzle honey across the top.
- Sprinkle some Maldon finishing salt flakes across the top as well.
- Use the apple slices to create some vertical visual interest by inserting them into the butter, peel side up (see photo for example).
- Serve with warm biscuits!
