Each May, Alys Beach transforms into something truly dazzling as the pristine, whitewashed coastal enclave becomes a magical glowing gallery of light, art, and imagination. The 18th annual Digital Graffiti Festival, taking place May 16 and 17, 2025, is more than just an art show. It’s a curated experience that speaks to lovers of design, seekers of beauty, and those craving a chic coastal getaway with a touch of the avant-garde.

Nestled along Florida’s famed 30A, Alys Beach is known for its striking Bermudan-inspired architecture, walkable town center, and effortlessly luxurious atmosphere. It’s where minimalism meets refinement — every structure gleams in shades of ivory, palm-lined courtyards peek around every corner, and there’s a sense of calm sophistication in the air.

This architectural purity makes the town the perfect backdrop for Digital Graffiti — a festival that quite literally paints the town in living color.

Unlike traditional art festivals confined to galleries or booths, Digital Graffiti invites artists from around the globe to project their work directly onto the town’s iconic white facades. The effect? A radiant open-air museum that shifts with every step. Attendees stroll the streets beneath glowing towers and archways, sipping curated cocktails or boutique wines as digital installations bloom, swirl, and animate above.

The festival is juried and highly selective, featuring digital artists at the forefront of experimental media, projection mapping, and immersive storytelling. For those who appreciate thoughtful design, innovation, and a touch of indulgence, this is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience art in an entirely new dimension.

For residents and returning guests, Digital Graffiti has become a beloved tradition. It’s a time when the community comes alive with creativity — a time to dress up, reconnect with friends, and experience Alys Beach in a new light (quite literally).

And for visitors, it’s a beautiful excuse to plan a weekend getaway with a purpose. Whether you’re traveling with girlfriends for a chic escape or planning a romantic couple’s weekend, the festival offers a perfect blend of culture, cuisine, and celebration.

What to Expect in 2025

This year’s festivities promise a well-rounded weekend of art and elevated experiences:

  • Thursday, May 15: Guided Walking Tour. This RSVP-required event runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is led by curator John Colette and Marianne Khoury-Vogt, Alys’s town architect. It will showcase the highlights of the weekend in a very intimate environment.
  • Friday, May 16: Adult-Only Night (21+). An all-inclusive evening, this event features hors d’oeuvres from top regional chefs, handcrafted cocktails, and the full festival experience. Think of it as a gallery opening with a beachside twist — heels optional, elegance guaranteed. This is a $200 ticket, so purchase it in advance to ensure your attendance. While the evening may be the event’s focal point, the day begins at 10 a.m. with a panel on Art/Life Balance, before a 2 p.m. panel discussion on How Art Meets the World, and before the 6 p.m. awards party on the Gulf Greens.
  • Saturday, May 17: All-Ages Night. Bring the family or keep it casual — food trucks, interactive art, and an inviting, walkable route make this night a joy for attendees of all ages. There is also a judges panel beginning at 11 a.m. that requires an RSVP.

Daytime panels and guided tours offer a deeper dive into the artistic process and the thoughtful architecture that defines Alys Beach, perfect for those who love to learn as they explore.

Tickets are limited and individual events can sell out quickly. Whether you stay in Alys Beach itself or one of the nearby luxury rentals along 30A, this is an experience best savored with intention.

Book early, bring your sense of wonder, and prepare to be inspired. Check out the Gallery from previous years to see what the fuss is about!
