StyleBlueprint caught up with Birmingham’s super talented stylist, Missie Crawford, who shared with us a fabulous fall tablescape idea for your upcoming get togethers. Missie has over 20 years of experience in the world of styling interiors, fashion, beauty, food and entertaining. She has worked for J. Crew, Cindy Crawford, Southern Progress and Cooking Light, just to name a few, and we’re thrilled to get some inside scoop from a pro to show you today!
For this tablescape, Missie started out with a burlap runner made out of paper found at Lamb’s Ear for just $15. She also used an olive jar and bell jar from Market 46 – a fabulous rental company in the back of Lamb’s Ear. The bittersweet wreath was made by Oak Street Garden Shop and retails for $50.
The rattan chargers can be found at World Market and the round plates used here are from Ikea. The square ones are old from cb2, but Crate and Barrel has similar ones.
Missie chose napkins from Pottery Barn and laid the flatware inside and wrapped it with twine. The quail, found at Mulberry Heights, really brings an outdoor element to the table.
Using a lot of the same elements, Missie converted our table into the perfect kid’s table by making just a few changes.
Missie swapped out the original centerpiece for crayons, markers and colored pencils and cut out placemats from craft paper to turn our table into a kid-friendly set up.
In the photo below, you’ll see that she is using her own bandanas as napkins and weck canning jars from Bellewether to hold our craft supplies. The feathers came from Western’s flower market in Mountain Brook Village. The cozy blanket is vintage, but Seibels carries a similar one.
Simple elements, artfully arranged – love these great ideas for fall entertaining! Â Could it be any easier?! What a treat to see behind the scenes a little and discover how the pros make it happen. Thanks, Missie!
