Birmingham’s food scene may be earning plenty of national and international attention these days, but we locals have long known just how much there is to savor here. And for 16 years, Birmingham Restaurant Week has offered a delicious excuse to experience even more of it!
The annual event is back for 2026, bringing together restaurants across the city for special menus, dining deals, and plenty of reasons to revisit an old favorite or finally try somewhere new. Here’s what to know before you make your reservations.
Presented by Spire, Birmingham Restaurant Week 2026 runs from Thursday, July 30, through Saturday, August 8. The goal is simple: to encourage Birmingham to get out and enjoy local restaurants during a typically slow time of the year for them. This is the perfect time to schedule a date night, girls’ night, or a solo outing to try someplace new to support local businesses!
You can check out the Birmingham Restaurant Week website for all of the participating locations and details, and it even includes a drop-down menu to filter by food type, price point, and location. You can also connect with them on Instagram!
If you want to engage more with this week-long event, a preview party will be held on Tuesday, July 28, at the Theodore by Tre Luna, and tickets can be purchased here. Plus, you can attend a free gallery show at City Hall featuring local photographer Mary Fehr’s “The Magic Ingredient” collection, inspired by the people in the community who bring Birmingham’s favorite dishes to life. The exhibit will be on display on the second floor of City Hall from July 8 through August 31.
