If you’re a fan of hearty Southern breakfasts and long poolside brunches, weâve got some delicious news: Big Bad Breakfast (BBB) is officially back and serving Inlet Beach!
At the entrance of 30A and just before the first light in Rosemary Beach, the family-friendly spot has reopened its doors after a temporary closure. The shutdown came suddenly last November, when renovations on the complex housing the restaurant forced a six-month pause in service.
âWe had about an hourâs notice,â says Josh Smith, local owner and franchisee of both the Inlet Beach and Miramar Beach BBB locations. âIt was a whirlwind, but we made the most of it. More importantly, we made it through to the other side and are excited to be back.â
We’re excited they’re back, too.

Big Bad Breakfast’s break allowed the team to deep clean the space, add fresh paint, and complete a few thoughtful updates to the interior, which helped maintain the down-home diner charm guests know and love.
One of the best pieces of news about the reopening is that BBB moved many folks over to the Miramar location and ultimately retained 85% of its workforce, including its trusted General Manager and Kitchen Manager. That means regulars can expect the same warm welcomes, impeccable service, andâperhaps most importantlyâthe same execution of the mouthwatering menu theyâve come to expect.
Big Bad Breakfast is known for being a scratch kitchen, which means nothing is phoned in. The biscuits, jellies, and salad dressings are made in-house, and produce arrives fresh daily â a major reason the fresh-squeezed orange juice always hits just right.
The eatery is also proudly part of the Fatback Pig Project, an initiative that sources one-of-a-kind meats like sausage, bacon, and chicken that you wonât find anywhere else. Its long-standing partnership with Louisianaâs Tabasco Company also gives it a unique edge. The âspicy baconâ option is seasoned with a proprietary rub youâll dream about long after your last bite.
In an era where many restaurants responded to inflation by raising prices, BBB has held firm in order to stay true to customer expectations. And that’s really who this restaurant is all about. As Josh puts it, âWord of mouth is great for advertising, but you really ‘meet your guests’ on their plates.â
So whether youâre craving a perfectly cooked Jack Benny, a biscuit slathered in housemade gravy, or a plate of that signature bacon, Big Bad Breakfast in Inlet Beach is open, energized, and ready to welcome you back.
Local Tip: Skip the Line
If youâre planning a weekend visit or looking to jumpstart your day, take advantage of BBBâs âcall-aheadâ seating by phone or on Yelp! While traditional reservations are not allowed, the Inlet Beach team is exceptionally skilled at managing its dual-options waitlist â something many restaurants in the area cannot claim. Saving time and avoiding the wait without sacrificing the laid-back experience? Yes, please!
