INTERVENTIONS: Shawn Huckins

American painter Shawn Huckins brings his signature blend of classical art and contemporary culture to Cheekwood with seven new works installed throughout the historic period rooms. Inspired by pieces from Cheekwood’s permanent collection and its landscape, Huckins’ paintings incorporate textiles and painted fabrics to reframe history through a modern lens. Part of the ongoing INTERVENTIONS series—now in its fourth year—this exhibition activates the estate’s historic interiors with fresh artistic dialogue.
