5 Ideas for a Fun Summer Outing in Birmingham
Enjoy a Sunset Kayak Adventure

This two-hour expedition is the perfect activity for all experience levels and is sure to become a family tradition for years to come. The cost is $35 per paddler; arrive by 7:30 p.m., and you’ll be on the water by 8 p.m. Availability for reservations begins in August, and all ages are welcome. Book your sunset adventure with Treeline Expeditions quickly, as time slots and capacity are limited.
Big Screen Wednesdays at Avondale Brewing Company

Have a Family Outing at Regions Field
Enjoy the amenities at Regions Field in a brand new way. The Summer Event Series at Regions Field is underway and provides fun, family-friendly activities every weekend through August 7. Cheer on the over/under 35 baseball teams of the Central Alabama Baseball Association and Birmingham Metro Baseball League each Thursday and Friday night. Admission is free, but reservations are required as the capacity in Regions Field is limited. Every Saturday (except for July 4), attendees can kick back and enjoy Babe Ruff’s Saturday Cinema series. Sit on the field or in the stands, and watch a classic film as you chow down on your favorite ballpark snacks. Regions Field’s highly anticipated fireworks show also makes its return on select dates. It’s going to be a summer series to remember!
Have a Girls’ Night Out with Birmingham Pedal Tours
Grab your best gals and hop on Birmingham’s very first group pedal bike with Birmingham Pedal Tours. Take a private tour with your crew and see the sights of Avondale, Pepper Place, Lakeview or downtown Birmingham by bike. The tour lasts two hours and includes stops at your favorite watering holes, including Good People Brewing Co., Carrigan’s Public House, Paper Doll (previously Tavern on 1st), Encore Rouge, the Pizitz and more. Whether you’ve lived in the Magic City your whole life or you’re new here, this tour is a must for everyone.
