*********
Turning the big 4-0 this year has truly emphasized my love for fashion. I find myself embracing color and the non-traditional suit, which I used to wear in my previous careers. I have embraced the morning “What do I wear to work today?” with the opportunity to create a look that defines me and the work set out for the day. Working at the Dream has certainly been an opportunity to live my childhood admiration of “dress up” highlighting my favorite attire from silks to jackets and, of course, shoes!
Monday
I love colorful wardrobes and pairing up a Monday with a colorful pencil skirt for a coffee meeting at Natura Café sets some good vibes for the week. Some of my favorite pencil skirts come from Clover Canyon, with unique patterns and tones that can spark up a conversation over a coffee and baked goods.
Tuesday
Silks always make me feel comfortable, especially when I am touring the venues at Dream Nashville with businesses looking to activate a marketing event. I tend to do a lot of venue tours at the beginning of the week, which requires me to stay comfortable and professional. My go-to for silk pants is Wilfred, from Canadian-based retail outlet Aritzia. I always like a comfortable blouse to pair with silk pants — AllSaints is my staple — anything leopard or animal print to make things fun.
Wednesday
My accessory game is strong by Wednesday thanks to all the marketing activations and events that start to kick in at the Dream and Printers Alley. Accessories make things pop for any event, like our Jazz Nights in Parlour Bar. My favorites: Kendra Scott earrings, versatile bags from AllSaints, and classic pumps by Stuart Weitzman or Jimmy Choo.
Thursday
By Thursday, the Dream is well into multiple marketing activations and events, and I rarely pass up meeting new guests attending! A jacket that serves as blazer sets the tone for any evening event. Jackets can create a chic yet powerful look for an evening of hosting at our newest venue in Printers Alley, Dirty Little Secret. Jackets have become a go-to for many CEO females ranging from IBM’s Ginni Rometty, Mary Barra CEO of GM, and Kohl’s CEO Michelle Gass. My favorites come from AllSaints! I have every collection from suedes, leathers and denim.
Fri”yay”
With our new launch of live music at Snitch in Printers Alley, it gives me an opportunity to bring clients and guests to experience all things Nashville. This vintage space serves as our cocktail bar, giving me the opportunity to showcase my colorful wardrobe when hosting or meeting with clients and new guests. One of my favorite brands that emphasizes color is Veronica Beard (I own every shade of red pants!), which I pair with silks and leathers from AllSaints and Wilfred.
