“Harpeth Hall educates young women to think critically, lead confidently, and live honorably.’
For more than 155 years, Harpeth Hall has held true to the idea that girls deserve an excellent education full of possibilities and purpose. Harpeth Hall students — intelligent, ambitious, and determined — are the leaders of tomorrow. At Harpeth Hall’s beautiful 44-acre campus, ambitions become achievements and girls become purposeful young women eager to take on the world and prepared to make a positive difference within it.
In the classroom, students learn through doing. From power tools to telescopes, Harpeth Hall teachers create hands-on experiences that elevate concepts beyond the textbook and make lessons memorable. The arts programs encourage students to explore creative expression without limits. Students create publications with original paintings, poetry, and prose. There are actors, screenwriters, and producers whose creative endeavors shine on stage and in theaters throughout Nashville. At the heart of Harpeth Hall’s students’ excellent academic outcomes are leaders who inspire lifelong learning — 100% of Harpeth Hall students attend college or university.
In addition, the athletic program focuses on achievement through tradition, dedication, teamwork, and prowess. Harpeth Hall athletes learn to take healthy risks, push themselves beyond their comfort zones, and enjoy unforgettable experiences along the way. In the 2021-2022 school year, Harpeth Hall claimed a school-record five state championships with titles in cross country, soccer, riflery, lacrosse, and track and field. The strength and confidence students develop as athletes prepare them for a lifetime of health and wellbeing.
With a focus on the future, Harpeth Hall’s innovators bring forth new ideas to prepare students for the global community they will enter. In 2022, Harpeth Hall celebrated the grand opening of the Bullard Bright IDEA Lab — an expansive space where students and faculty can create, experiment, collaborate, and dream. In addition to a podcast studio and a power-tool-filled maker space, the Bright IDEA Lab is also home to the school’s robotics team, which earned a spot at the VEX Robotics World Championship in 2022.
At Harpeth Hall, the president of the student council is a girl. The leader of the robotics team is a girl. The champion on the swim team is a girl. Harpeth Hall students develop new interests and discover new talents as they imagine their brightest future.
