"At Harpeth Hall, girls and young women find a place where they become independent thinkers and confident leaders. We are dedicated to all-girls education, academic excellence, and to the development of each girl’s limitless intellectual and personal potential.”

The Harpeth Hall School educates girls and young women in grades 5-12, helping them grow into responsible citizens with global perspectives, eager to make a difference in their community and the world. This college-preparatory school traces its history back to Ward Seminary and Ward Belmont and has been educating young women in Nashville for over 150 years. Their mission is to educate young women “to think critically, to lead confidently, and to live honorably.”
The innovative faculty are invested in the growth of their students, creating a challenging and stimulating learning environment that fosters collaboration and creativity. There is a focus on developing the whole student, teaching the skills and exercising the habits that 21st century leaders must have to be team players and change agents, able to see multiple perspectives and find common ground. Harpeth Hall students are life-long learners who are ceaselessly curious and often engage in conversations with their teachers and each other about current events or other topics that interest them.
The school enrolls 715 students, from 37 zip codes and 7 counties around Nashville. Harpeth Hall values diversity and is committed to ensuring that all members of their community feel a sense of belonging and engage fully in the life of the school. Harpeth Hall’s progressive curriculum provides each and every student a sturdy foundation to lead them into college and beyond. The school offers a wide variety of sports and performing arts opportunities, and the friendships formed here last a lifetime.
