So, our lottery fantasy goes something like this: When we hit the jackpot with a winning ticket, in addition to taking care of family and friends, funding charitable causes and helping others, we’ll indulge in the ultimate luxury: Having someone blow out our hair, every day.

“I hear that all the time from clients,” Mirror Mirror Salon & Blowout Bar owner Stacy Harmeier says. When she opened Mirror Mirror in spring 2015, she had 11 years’ experience as a stylist. And when she decided to venture out with her own salon, she focused on creating a menu of blowout services, in addition to traditional salon services.

The vibe at Mirror Mirror is unapologetically girly. Ornate mirrors are placed in front of each styling station, and fun chandeliers hang from the ceiling. Gilded armchairs are scattered throughout the salon and under the massive, modern, yet retro-looking, hair dryers. Broadway-style, multilight mirrors adorn two semiprivate spaces reserved for makeup sessions and specialty hair services. Musical standards play in the background, featuring Sinatra and Bublé, adding to the retro chic atmosphere.

The feminine details are everywhere at Mirror Mirror, including a visage of Marilyn Monroe at the shampoo station.

Stacy chose a 1940s theme for her menu of blowout services, and clients can peruse the choices from a magazine-style menu book. With names like Hotsy Totsy (think curls and volume), the Swanky Panky (beach waves) or Gold Digger (soft, loose curls), each blowout includes a shampoo and styling products, as well as a glass of Champagne, and is priced at $32. Add-ons include deep conditioning treatments, scalp massages, braids and more. Dry styling, where clients arrive with dry hair and just need a little professional help, is an option for those who are tight on time. It’s also nicely priced at $25.

Little girls can get in on the blowout fun, too, with the Lulu, a $25 blowout just for those 10 years old and younger.

Clients have the option of buying blowout packages, which offer discounted pricing on the number of blowouts purchased. Monthly memberships are also available, priced at $60 per month. A membership includes two blowouts and a deep conditioning treatment each month, and Stacy has made membership an attractive buy, as membership can be month to month, and can be cancelled at any time. The services can even be rolled over if not used.

Stacy and her team also work with bridal parties, or simply groups of friends getting ready for a night on the town. To ensure Stacy and her team are available, group services should be booked a month in advance.

Blowouts are customized, and Stacy says photos always help a stylist meet the client’s expectation. “We love to have photos, especially for up-dos,” says Stacy. Beyond blowouts, Stacy and Kyndall offer other styling services, including half-up hairstyles, $45, and up-dos, $65. While walk-ins are welcome for all services, appointments are preferred.

With pricing at $32 per blowout, you don’t need to hit the lotto jackpot to indulge in a blowout at Mirror Mirror.
