One of my tipsters asked me if I had seen the new monokinis on the market recently. I have heard of a BI-kini. I have heard (and wear with pride) a TANK-ini. But, MONO-kini was new nomenclature for me.
Then my friend showed me pictures on her phone of bathing suits. Monokinis are the bathing suits with the “connector” in the middle. If we were using a geography reference, it would resemble an isthmus between two continents.
My skeptical look immediately made my friend say “NO, not like Teresa in Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
(Who has more monokinis than sense, apparently.)
Designers have classed up the monokini. Now the connector is wider, less severe and with more coverage. Peruse my research and then make the call: Yea or Nay on the monokini?
