Between Keeneland and Churchill Downs, Kentuckians love betting on the ponies in the fall. But the rules for dressing are a little different than at the spring meet, simply because of the additional needs of warmth and outerwear thrown into the mix. Here’s what to wear at the track this fall, featuring options for both women and men.
For the Fillies:
The track is the best place to show off your dresses, boots and outerwear. But remember, it’s going to be a long day, and you want to be comfortable … and warm! Make sure you have a cute coat, vest or sweater to go with your outfit. Also, pick up a good pair of tights or leggings to go under these frocks.

For the Colts:
For men, their sport coat is their coat. So if it’s cold, perhaps enlist a sweater underneath. Pair the look with a bow tie, long tie or no tie. On the bottom, try dress slacks or nice corduroys. All of these looks can be found at The Fashion Post.
Try a bow tie with a collared sweater worn under a blazer. Make sure to put the sweater lapels under the blazer lapels.
