ABC Show: “Women Of The Movement” Looking for Cast Members
A limited series on ABC, "Women Of The Movement" is currently casting in Memphis. Here's what you need to know if you're interested in trying out.
If you’re looking for your moment of fame, ABC’s show, “Women of the Movement,” is making its way to television and looking in Memphis for cast members. The show reflects the life and story of Emmitt Till, the 14-year-old Black child who was lynched in Mississippi in 1955 after being accused of offending a white woman with his alleged flirtations.
You’ll likely recognize some of the celebrity names who are producing and acting in this limited series: Will Smith, Jay-Z, Aaron Kaplan, Ray Fisher, Adrienne Warren, and Niecy Nash.

What type of people are they looking for?
Men and women of all ethnicities, ages 18-65, fitting the 1950s persona. Men must have short hair and no facial hair, and women must have natural colored hair, no braids and no extensions.
What are the dates?
January 27-29, 2021
Any other info to know?
Testing takes place January 22-23, and fittings take place January 25-26. Compensation is $16 for the test and $16 for the fitting. The pay rate is $64 for guaranteed eight hours of work, and time-and-a-half beyond eight hours. You must be available for the entire time on shoot days, regardless of the call times.
