The perfect wedding is one that captures the couple’s personality. Where the bride and groom feel celebrated, the guests feel the love, everyone is well fed, and the only tears are happy ones. That said, watching wedding trends evolve from year to year is SO MUCH FUN, and we’ve recently picked up on a few that we can’t get enough of …

Champagne Towers, Reimagined

A champagne tower is classic, but a couple of years ago, the espresso martini tower emerged, and suddenly, we were seeing beverage towers of all kinds — Aperol Spritz towers, Diet Coke towers, you name it. And while beverage towers will forever be a crowd-pleaser, the concept has evolved even further to a vehicle for appetizers and desserts.

Unconventional Bouquets

Surprising bridal bouquets are always a treat, whether that means exotic flowers, bold color combinations, or dramatic cascading elements. The latest fun trend we’re seeing is “wearable” bouquets styled as bags or clutches.

Open Fire Cooking

Everyone loves fun food stations at a reception — oyster shuckers, meat carvers, and build-your-own concepts — but open fire cooking takes catering to a whole new level for couples who really want to put on a show for their guests and fully immerse them in the dining experience.

Vintage Wedding Cakes

Swans, cherries, ribbon bows, and layers upon layers of romantic piped frosting. A drastic departure from the “naked cake” trend of years past, vintage-inspired wedding cakes are having a moment right now. This approach is friendly for all kinds of shapes — sheet cakes, circular tiered cakes, heart shapes, and even domes — and the sky is the limit on color combinations. Stick with a soft monochrome for a romantic vibe, or make a splash with a bold color combination.

Romantic Details: Lace + Draping

Lace is BACK this year in a big way, showing up in everything from fashion and home decor to wedding details. You’ll likely see more all-lace dresses this year, but also keep an eye out for lace in invitation suites, table settings, and beyond. On a similarly romantic note, creative draping seems to be a medium that event designers are enjoying this year, and we can’t wait to see how it shows up around the South.

Food as Decor

Back in 2024, we reported on a “fruity” wedding trend that was emerging, with fresh fruit popping up in floral arrangements and tablescapes. Fruit is still a fun addition today, but you’re likely to see even more types of food incorporated into decor schemes this year, from bread-and-butter centerpieces and monogram-branded citrus peels to menus pressed into fresh tortillas. These displays can be subtle … or not. There’s plenty of fun to be had here for the “go big or go home” brides!
