We always enjoy discovering new Southern retailers and sharing them with you. Along with new-to-us discoveries, we have some long-time favorites that we realized we have not shared in the past. Candle lovers won’t want to miss out on Candlefish in Charleston. While the brand is carried in major retailers across the nation (you may have spotted Candlefish products at Anthropologie, for example), there’s nothing like the original in-store experience, where you can explore and enjoy the fragrance library of 100 scents. Feeling crafty? The retailer also offers candle-making workshops, which are the perfect girls’ trip activity — what could be better than creating some fun souvenirs to bring home? Not in Charleston? A family-owned company, The CEH offers stunning vintage furniture pieces out of its Dallas storefront. It has grown rapidly since its launch in 2013 and is now a blogger and shelter magazine favorite. Can’t get enough of all things home decor? Dressing Room Interiors Studio is a must-visit chic, Black-owned business in Charlotte; you’ll find everything from gorgeous vintage chairs to smaller pieces such as coffee table books and pillows. The online shop provides you with an idea of what you may encounter, but there is much, much more to be seen in person!

Designer Elizabeth Stewart’s South Carolina store is an extension of her stellar taste and design sensibilities. Needlepoint is a favorite hobby among millennials and older generations alike, and Palm Beach’s Lycette Designs is a one-stop-shop for everything you could ever need to get your stitch on. But seriously, you won’t want to miss The Paris Market: Architectural Digest has named it the most beautiful coffee shop in Georgia.
