A Regions Field Wedding Decked Out in Disco Balls!
Brought together by their deep family ties and shared love of dancing, this Birmingham couple said "I do" and danced the night away under disco balls at Regions Field.
Haley and Loganβs story started long before they began dating in January 2021. Although they were from different hometowns in Alabama, they had seen one another in passing for years. βLogan grew up in Corner, Alabama, a small town where my dadβs family is from,β says Haley. βI grew up going there for holidays and family events, and my cousins were the same age as his four nieces. They went to school together, so our paths were always crossing.β
The two saw each other frequently at birthday parties or school events over the years and followed each other on social media, but with Haley attending Auburn and Logan at Samford, distance stood in the way. But as fate would have it, they both ended up in Birmingham after college β Haley in nursing school and Logan working as a pharmacist. He finally reached out to ask her on a date,Β and the rest was history.

βHe checked all my boxes,β Haley says. βFamily is super important to me, and I already knew Logan came from a great family; he was always so sweet and kind.β
The coupleβs shared love for dancing brought them even closer. Haley grew up dancing, so Logan caught Haleyβs eye when he posted videos of himself dancing on social media, proving that he didnβt take himself too seriously. βI wanted a husband who would be fun and silly and dance with me forever,β Haley said. βThere was no questioning it. It fell into place and immediately felt perfect for both of us.β

Logan popped the question in August of that year while the lovebirds were on vacation with their families, celebrating Haleyβs nursing school graduation. It was a surprise to Haley, who wasnβt expecting to come home with a fiancΓ©! βI was expecting it to happen after I passed the exam youβre required to take after graduating from nursing school, and since our parents often spend time together, I didnβt think this trip was anything out of the ordinary,β she tells us.
The proposal took place at a beautiful church on Floridaβs scenic 30A Highway.Β βIt was really sweet, and itβs a special place that we can go back to time and time again.β
After the vacation, it was off to the races. Haley passed her exam and began a new job working at Childrenβs of Alabama, all while planning the wedding. She knew she couldnβt take all of it on by herself, so she enlisted the help of Becky Baker of Beckyβs Brides, a highly sought-after wedding planner based in Birmingham. After seeing social media images of previous weddings Becky had planned, Haley knew sheβd found the right collaborator to bring her vision of a big, beautiful Southern wedding to life.
Haley and Logan selected Reid Chapel (on Samford Universityβs campus) for the ceremony and Regions Field (Birminghamβs minor league baseball stadium) for the reception. Regions Field was a sentimental choice; it is in the middle of the city where the couple began dating, and it even boasts a view of Childrenβs of Alabama.

When it came to dress shopping, finding Haleyβs perfect wedding gown wasnβt quite as easy as securing a venue. Though she knew what she wanted from the get-go, she couldnβt find exactly what she had in mind β even after visiting several places. She turned to Heidi Elnora, an upscale bridal boutique, to help her design the dress of her dreams. Aligning with her vision, it possessed a sweetheart neckline, bow, and tulle.
βSince I grew up dancing, I think people expected something flashy with sequins,β says Haley, βbut I just wanted a classic Southern bridal look.β The classic approach was also reflected in the florals, as Haley opted for neutrals and champagne hues with pops of pink. βI wanted something I wouldnβt look back on and hate in 10 years!β she tells us.

Haley and Logan exchanged vows on October 1, 2022, in front of approximately 450 guests. The couple enjoyed a first look before the ceremony, thanks to some trusted advice from Loganβs older sister.
βI wanted to spend the whole day with him, and I didnβt want us to be rushed after the ceremony and not get the photos that we would look back on and love for years to come,β said Haley. βI knew he was going to cry during the first look β he was a ball of tears!β

After the ceremony, the couple enjoyed a private dinner together as guests filled the reception space and took in the stunning display of white florals, shimmering disco balls, and elegant black-and-white details.

After they enjoyed some time alone, the couple made their dance floor debut as husband and wife to Whitney Houstonβs I Wanna Dance with Somebody. βItβs a fun and meaningful song for us,β Haley explains. βLogan and I, with the help of my maid of honor, choreographed our first dance.β
The guests joined in the fun, dancing the night away under a ceiling adorned with disco balls β a special touch that Haley knew she wanted from the beginning. βMy number one priority when we started planning the wedding was disco balls,β she says. βSince Logan and I are both dancers, we had to have them!β

As the night came to a close, the couple made their grand exit in a Rolls-Royce. With plans to leave for their honeymoon early the following morning., the newlyweds spent their first night as husband and wife in a house they rented in downtown Birmingham. The next day, the two jetted off to the Dominican Republic, where they spent the week lounging on the beach, riding horses, and zip lining β the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Chappell happily reside close to relatives in Birmingham, where they hope to one day start a family of their own.

Thank you for sharing your day with us, Haley and Logan! And thanks to Eric & Jamie Photography for the beautiful photos.
