This Nashville Wedding Had It All: Chandeliers, Greenery, and … Pringles!
With sunlight streaming through stained glass, this former StyleBlueprint team member tied the knot β followed by a chandelier and greenery-studded reception at a private residence!
Just in time for Valentineβs Day, weβre celebrating a couple weβre particularly excited for β¦ A huge congrats to former StyleBlueprint team member, Peyton Haecker, who recently married the love of her life, William Pringle. From the draping florals and a gorgeous Sareh Nouri gown to an Ole Miss groomβs cake and plenty of nods to the coupleβs last name, Peyton is dishing all the details on her private residence wedding in Nashville. (Just wait until you see the precious flower girl!)
Fun fact: Peyton and Williamβs very first meeting took place only 50 yards from the spot where they eventually exchanged vows. βWilliam (or βBill,β depending on who you ask) and I actually met for the first time right outside of Covenant Presbyterian Church one Sunday in November 2020,β Peyton tells us. What happened next was a courtship that led to a sweet outdoor engagement at a friendβs cabin south of Nashville.
After their memorable engagement, the wedding planning ensued (the very next day!), with Blair Laborde of Sarah Blair Event Design leading the charge. βI also emailed Covenant immediately to ask about church availability,β says Peyton. βI am from Colorado originally, and he is from Jackson, MS, but we had both discussed how much we wanted to get married at Covenant.β
Their one hurdle with timing? Football season! βHe went to Ole Miss, and I went to Georgia, and it was important to us that we werenβt competing with any games,β Peyton tells us. βIt sounds ridiculous, but I knew people would be huddled around a phone watching a game (my dad is that guy, too). When it came to August or December, we knew ASAP was the way to go. August 26 was the last weekend before football season began, which fed into a fun piece of the groomβs cake!β
Next on the planning agenda? Finding the perfect dress, of course β which Peyton easily accomplished, thanks to a bit of help from her wedding planner. βMy incredible wedding planner, Blair, suggested I go shop in Birmingham for my wedding dress,β she explains. βMy sister and mom were going to a wedding there the weekend after our engagement, so I drove down to meet them. We went to Carriage House for our first appointment that day. I canβt remember how many [dresses] I tried on, but at one point, I had my Sareh Nouri dress.β
Interestingly, Peyton didnβt have the βAha! momentβ she anticipated. Rather than focusing on finding the dress, Peyton was advised to think of the perfect dress as the one she kept returning to and comparing the others to.
Ultimately, the Sareh Nouri gown won out. βI knew I wanted floral appliquΓ©,β says Peyton, βand was thrilled I found one I loved.β She also had straps added to the dress, which looked beautiful, but she changed her mind the week of the wedding, opting to go strapless.
She tells us a funny story surrounding her decision to go strapless. βThe week of the wedding (literally the Sunday before), I tried the dress on and decided I didnβt want the straps. I took it first thing Monday morning to Kathy at Elegant Alterations, and she said she could do it, but it had to be taken in quite a bit.β
When Peyton went to retrieve her altered gown, however, the straps were still attached. βI questioned her, and she just whipped out some scissors and CUT the straps off while the dress was ON me!β the bride exclaims. βMy mom, sisters, and I all shrieked. Looking back at the day, I was so happy I removed the straps!β
On August 26, 2023, Peyton and her 16 bridesmaids, which included her sisters, gathered to celebrate the big day and get ready together. Ten of her bridesmaids even flew in from Denver! The group set up at the reception venue, a private home within a few minutes of the ceremony location. βIt was just fun and easy all day,β the bride gushes. βWe had a coffee cart from The Aero Bar come, and that was such a fun treat. We also had Greenery Co. (I love it so much that I put it on the reception cups!) for lunch.β
Even earlier in the day, Peyton and her family spent quality time together on a walk. βIt was just the five of us, and it was so special to me,β she tells us. βI was advised to continually practice slowing the day down in order to soak it all in. Our slow morning together and having some quiet time is a dear memory I will never forget.β
Sunlight streamed through the beautiful stained glass windows of Covenant Presbyterian church as the couple exchanged traditional vows in front of roughly 270 guests. Lead Pastor Chad Scruggs officiated the ceremony, which Peyton describes as βspecial, holy, and celebratory.β
Once the couple said βI doβ and made their way back up the aisle, they joined their bridal party and climbed aboard a trolley to head to the reception, which took place at a private residence about 30 minutes away.
Peyton and William took their first photos together as a married couple while guests mingled during the cocktail hour. βWilliam and I didnβt attend cocktail hour at all,β Peyton tells us. βWe had our photos taken because we did not do a first look, and then we had dinner, just the two of us. That way, we could ensure we got some food in our systems and had a second to catch our breath before catching up with everyone at the reception.β Meanwhile, their guests enjoyed champagne and passed hors dβoeuvres such as tiny chicken tacos, mini BLTs, grilled cheese sandwiches, and even tiny crab cakes.
Having skipped the cocktail reception for their quiet, intimate dinner together, the newlyweds never saw the reception tent until they were officially announced as husband and wife to their guests. What they saw when they arrived took Peytonβs breath away.
βEverything was beyond stunning and beyond what I had even pictured,β the bride tells us. βIt had also unexpectedly rained that evening (the crack of thunder mid-ceremony is something I will never forget). From my understanding, Blair and her incredible team put in some serious work to dry and clean the tent. I know my mom and dad joined in my relief that we had added a floor to the tent to avoid a slosh-fest.β
Once cocktail hour was over, the guests were seated for an incredible dinner from Kristen Winston Catering, which included filet mignon, halibut, and a cauliflower steak Peyton describes as the most incredible vegetable sheβs ever had. βMy dad gave a short welcome and toast, and then everyone enjoyed the most delicious meal,β explains Peyton. βAnother person who tops my favorites list is Kristen Winston and her catering team. My dad had expressed apprehension for anyone who could replicate the delicious and perfectly cooked steak at our tasting for 275 people β¦ and she did just that. Everything from the appetizers to the entrΓ©es was just out of this world.β
Following dinner, Peyton and William cut into an exquisite five-tiered cake by none other than Dessert Designs. Leland Riggan outdid herself with alternating tiers of cream cheese (which Peyton says was a crowd favorite) and vanilla with raspberry filling. Even Peyton, who isnβt a huge dessert fan, declared the cake phenomenal!
Additionally, the festive and whimsical groomβs cake made guests smile. βThe groomβs cake was from Ivey Cake and was cookies and cream flavored β his favorite!β Peyton tells us. βIt was one of my favorite parts of the evening. An Ole Miss Rebel through and through, I knew I wanted to have some incorporation of an Ole Miss theme.β She asked Ivey Cakes if they could replicate The (famous) Grove, and they gladly obliged.
βI also wanted to play off of the idea that our wedding was the last weekend before college football started,β says Peyton, βso I asked them to add a schedule to the top of the cake β to capture the Ole Miss schedule with each opponent listed, along with βAugust 26 β Pringle Weddingβ at the top.β
After the cake, dancing ensued until late in the evening. The Atlanta Groove Factory made sure everyone enjoyed themselves. βThese guys were UNREAL,β gushes Peyton. βAfter a few months, guests are still telling me how much they loved the band! We danced every minute we could. The dance floor photos are some of my favorite of all.β
As guests took to the dance floor, the new Mr. and Mrs. Pringle had a bit of fun with their last name, passing out Pringles baseball caps and late-night French fries served in Pringle cans served with burgers.
βEverything was just a dream, but itβs hard to say that the Pringle hats and late-night french fries served in Pringle cans werenβt my favorite touches. I had a vision of 250 people swarming the dance floor in red trucker hats with the Pringle logo on them, and the vision was everything I thought it would be β¦ My mom had the idea for the Pringle cans with the late-night French fries. It was important to us that we did not waste the contents, so if you came to visit in the months leading up to the wedding, you left with a Ziploc of Pringles.β
After one final dance for the bride and groom, guests lined up outside for a rose petal send-off, and the couple was whisked away in a classic 1960 white Jaguar from Matchless Transportation. Talk about a grand exit!
Offering some fantastic advice for brides-to-be, Peyton suggests going on a date the week of the wedding. What a great way to ensure you have time to decompress and connect during a hectic time!
