Nasi Hugh: FACES of Nashville

Can you tell us about your childhood in Iran?
I was born in Tehran, Iran. My mother was a school principal and my father worked for the American Embassy. My family was forced to leave the country during the revolution because of my dad being a diplomatic liaison to the US. Our family was at risk and were immediately granted green cards and allowed entry into the U.S. I was a young teenager when I came to Nashville. I graduated from Hillsboro High School and went to MTSU where I received my bachelor’s degree. I discovered my passion for skin care and beauty and began working as a spa coordinator, medical spa manager, consultant, aesthetician, and certified laser technician. In 2007, I decided to finally open my own medical spa, Skin MB.What was your biggest challenge as an immigrant to the US?
