Mountain Brook, one of Birmingham’s most desirable neighborhoods, is an idyllic enclave known for its tree-lined winding roads, impressive homes, and picturesque family neighborhoods. The town is separated into three villages, each with its own vibe and boasting a selection of boutiques and eateries. Here’s your guide on where to eat, shop, and explore in Mountain Brook!

Mountain Brook Village + Lane Parke
Mountain Brook Village is the largest of the three areas and is distinct for its picturesque English Tudor style. The more recent addition of Lane Parke has further expanded this charming village into a major shopping and dining destination in the Magic City.
EAT + DRINK
- Abhi is a must-try for sushi and is known for serving some of the best ethnic fare in Mountain Brook.
- Another Broken Egg is a great spot to start your day in the village and grab breakfast with the family.
- Brick & Tin is a Birmingham favorite for local, farm-fresh eats.
- Cala Coffee is about to debut its newest location in the village. Cala partners with farmers to ensure fair wages and roasts its beans in-house.
- CharBar No. 7 serves hearty burgers, steaks, drinks, and more in Lane Parke.
- ChopNFresh is a go-to place for salads and warm grain bowls in Mountain Brook.

- Crumbl has the most decadent cookie menu and offers a featured flavor every week.
- Daniel George is perfect for an elegant yet unpretentious dinner serving American cuisine.
- Daughters Baking is known for its “naked” cakes and scrumptious cookies.
- Davenport’s has been serving some of the Magic City’s favorite pizza for more than half a century.
- Gilchrist first opened in 1928. The 98-year-old diner hasn’t changed much over the years, and is a must-visit for breakfast, lunch, or a sweet treat.
- Golden Age Wine is a wine bar and shop that has quickly become a village favorite. Catch up with a friend over a glass and a small plate, and go home with a new favorite bottle.
- Habitat Feed & Social is located in the Grand Bohemian Hotel. Head there for brunch or enjoy a cocktail on the rooftop terrace.
- Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream is always a good idea for a sweet tooth fix.

- Little Betty Steak Bar is an upscale Italian-Japanese steakhouse worthy of a special occasion.

Crestline Village
Crestline Village has a laid-back, family-friendly vibe with tons to explore. The clock tower anchors the village at the intersection of Church Street — the town’s thoroughfare — and Oak Street. On any given day, you’ll see lots of folks strolling into town for some good eats and shopping.

- Bongiorno Italian Restaurant has been a family-owned, Crestline staple since 1988.
- Church Street Coffee and Books offers great coffee, great books, and sweet treats. Its Break Up Cookie is legendary and a must-try for the full Crestline experience.
- Chen Express is Mountain Brook’s go-to for Chinese take-out.
- Craft’s on Church Street is known for its bone-in fried chicken and innovative twist on Southern, quick-service favorites.
- Crestline Bagel is the perfect way to start your morning in the village. They also serve hearty bagel sandwiches for lunch. We recommend the Primavera Pizza Bagel!

- Dyron’s Lowcountry is the spot in Crestline for a memorable fine dining experience. Enjoy elevated Lowcountry cuisine, featuring fresh Gulf catches and chef-driven plates, in a warm, elegant atmosphere.
- Feast Catering & Culinary Kitchen is Birmingham’s go-to for gourmet corporate box-lunch deliveries, private in-home chef dinners, and any other catering needs you can dream up.
- Gus’s Hot Dogs is an old-school hot dog joint that is concerned with only one thing — serving the best hot dogs in town.
