I recently spent a few days exploring Lake Oconee and Greensboro, GA, and what struck me was how easily the trip shifted from one experience to the next. One minute, I was surrounded by lake views and resort amenities; the next, I was wandering through historic downtown Greensboro. Between the food, time on the water, outdoor adventures, and a little much-needed relaxation, there’s plenty to discover in this corner of Georgia.
Where to Stay
Imagine sitting with your morning cup of coffee, looking out over the calm lake waters as you take a moment to relax and plan your day. Here, your toughest decision might be whether to kayak near the shore or chill by the pool. Staying on the lake recharges your soul, and Lake Oconee offers everything from resort accommodations to rental-style options in Greensboro to help you unwind. There are several spots I recommend checking out!
