French Quarter Dip

Ingredients
  

  • 1 block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp grated sweet onion
  • 1 tsp grated garlic
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions
 

  • Add the softened cream cheese, grated onion, and grated garlic to a bowl. Stir until well combined, then spread the mixture on a serving platter and set aside.
  • Add the butter, brown sugar, water, Worcestershire, mustard, and cayenne to a pan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is melted and the mixture is bubbling and thickened, about 5 min. Remove from heat and stir in the pecans. Let cool another 5 min.
  • Pour the pecan mixture over the cream cheese mixture and serve with crackers.
