Pillowy cream cheese, brown sugar, sweet onion, pecans, just a hint of cayenne pepper … this decadent New Orleans-inspired dip comes to us from Birmingham event catering company Table & Thyme. Perfect for gatherings!

French Quarter Dip
Ingredients
- 1 block cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp grated sweet onion
- 1 tsp grated garlic
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Add the softened cream cheese, grated onion, and grated garlic to a bowl. Stir until well combined, then spread the mixture on a serving platter and set aside.
- Add the butter, brown sugar, water, Worcestershire, mustard, and cayenne to a pan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is melted and the mixture is bubbling and thickened, about 5 min. Remove from heat and stir in the pecans. Let cool another 5 min.
- Pour the pecan mixture over the cream cheese mixture and serve with crackers.
