Hot chicken might be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of “Nashville cuisine,” and you’re not wrong for that. But believe it or not, there’s a quietly thriving French crêpe scene tucked between the honky-tonks and brunch spots. Whether you’re craving sweet or savory, buckwheat or classic, here are five spots to get your fix. Vive les crêpes!
The Yellow Table Café & Crêperie
Neighborhood: East Nashville
More Info: theyellowtablecafe.com
I’m starting with this one because I cannot overstate just how much I adore this cozy, East Nashville gem. The Yellow Table brings a little slice of Brittany to our fair city. This sweet little light-filled café from Anna Watson Carl focuses on authentic French crêpes and galettes — buckwheat-based beauties that are naturally gluten-free and perfect for a savory breakfast or lunch. And they’re the real deal! Think smoked salmon, goat cheese, or a perfectly runny egg tucked inside.
There are daily specials, too. The other day, I had one with squash, goat cheese, and prosciutto, while my daughter had a sweet crêpe with salted caramel and bananas. It’s quiet, charming, and precisely the kind of place you’d imagine writing poetry while sipping espresso.

The Authentique Wine Bar & Crêperie
Neighborhood: East Nashville
More Info: the-authentique.com
If you prefer your crêpes with a glass of Bordeaux, The Authentique has you covered. This wine bar-meets-crêperie serves elevated, authentic versions of the French classic in a cozy, date-night-ready setting. The savory options pair beautifully with French wine, and the dessert crêpes are equally indulgent. Additionally, they offer add-ons, from truffle butter and foie gras to bananas and coconut flakes. It’s a très chic way to end an evening. Or start one. Did we mention they do half-off crêpes on Wednesdays?

Red Bicycle Coffee & Crêpes
Neighborhood: Germantown
More Info: rwoodbine.com
Part café, part crêperie, Red Bicycle is a Germantown favorite that strikes a delicious balance between hip and homey. Their menu covers both the sweet and savory spectrum of crêpes, and they even offer gluten-free batter. Get the strawberry-Nutella crêpe for dessert. Or breakfast. We’re not here to judge. These may not be the most classic French crêpes on the list, but they come with a side of Germantown flair.
Pro tip: Grab a latte and sit by the window for premium people-watching.

Whisk Crêpes Café
Neighborhood: Downtown (Assembly Food Hall)
More Info: assemblyfoodhall.com
If you’re already downtown doing the tourist shuffle or catching a show, Whisk at Assembly Food Hall is a convenient (and delicious) stop. Born from Chef Julien Eelsen’s Parisian roots (and plenty of grandmotherly wisdom), Whisk brings authentic French crêpes to the heart of Nashville. These golden beauties are crafted from traditional batter and cooked on real crêpe griddles — just like in a true Parisian café. You can keep it classic with powdered sugar or load up on sweet and savory fillings that range from berries and custard to ham and Gruyère. There are a dozen menu selections, and add-ons galore, such as jalapeños, bacon, pecans, and raspberries.

Music City Crêpes
Neighborhood: Downtown (Farmers’ Market)
More Info: Facebook
If you’re wandering around the Nashville Farmers’ Market and smell something buttery and irresistible, it might just be Music City Crêpes. This unassuming stall inside the market is beloved for its quick, satisfying (more Americanized) crêpes that make the perfect snack — or meal, if you pile on enough toppings. It’s a grab-and-go situation, but the flavors are anything but rushed. It’s also an excellent place to test your willpower, because the dessert options are very persuasive.

So, whether you’re looking for a sweet treat, a savory lunch, or just an excuse to say “fromage” in public, Nashville’s crêperie scene is surprisingly stacked. Forget the Eiffel Tower selfies. Your next French adventure might be right around the corner, served on a plate, and drizzled with Nutella. Bon appétit!
