Across the South, children eagerly line up for their moment of glory — a mad dash across a sun-drenched lawn, baskets swinging wildly as they scoop up candy-stuffed eggs. Some will scour their own backyards; others will patrol the school playground. But a lucky few? They’ll tackle the motherlode: egg hunts where the eggs number well into the thousands.
April 4, 2025: Acworth Easter Egg Hunt — Acworth, GA
Families have gathered for years to celebrate with the Acworth Easter Egg Hunt, where timed hunts start at 6 p.m. On April 4, over 50,000 eggs are filled with toys, candy, and prizes, and there are games and activities to keep children entertained while they wait for their turn at the hunt.

April 12, 2025: Hop at the Ballpark — Fayetteville, NC
Nothing says spring like baseball or Easter, so why not combine the two into one celebratory spring afternoon? At the April 12 Hop at the Ballpark at Segra Stadium in Fayetteville, NC, Epicenter Church and the Fayetteville Woodpeckers come together to host an afternoon of continuous egg hunts, inflatables, games, and a batting cage.
April 12, 2025: The Egg Hunt — Birmingham, AL
An animal-filled opportunity awaits in Alabama at the Egg Hunt at the Birmingham Zoo on April 12. Over 10,000 eggs will be hidden in Henley Park throughout four different hunts. There’s also an adult Easter egg hunt for those who are a bit older than 10 but still want to have an opportunity to join in on the fun.
April 18, 2025: Marietta Community Egg Hunt — Marietta, GA
The Marietta Community Egg Hunt in Marietta, GA, takes its Easter fun seriously — over 50,000 eggs are ready to be hunted on April 18. Separate egg hunts for toddlers and special needs children ensure everyone has a chance to fill their basket. There will also be rides and food available.
April 19, 2025: Easter Eggstravaganza — Hialeah, FL
When there are 50,000 eggs, everyone can grab at least a few. The Easter Eggstravaganza in Hialeah, FL, on April 19 doesn’t hold back, and kids come from all over the region for this day of fun in the spring sun. There’s entertainment from theater and dance groups from local schools and academies, a Kids Zone, and an Easter bunny available for photo ops.

April 19, 2025: Biggest Easter Egg Hunt — Dallas, TX
What could be better than the actual BIGGEST Easter Egg Hunt in Dallas?! Kids and adults will gather at the Hilton Anatole Sculpture Garden on April 19 for a day of egg hunts (organized by age) and other fun spring activities. There’s face painting, balloon artists, a petting zoo, and the Easter Bunny. If your child has eagle eyes, they might spot one of the five Golden Eggs, which include prizes for family fun weekends.

April 19, 2025: Eggstravaganzoo — Nashville, TN
If your child is wild about animals, the Eggstravaganzoo at the Nashville Zoo is the ideal time to combine a festive holiday with zoo favorites. The zoo opens at 8 a.m. on April 19 for the All-day Adventure Pass, and there are activities, including Easter egg hunts, a zoo-wide golden egg hunt, and opportunities to meet the animals. Both the Easter Bunny and Mrs. Bunny will be available for photos.

April 21, 2025: White House Easter Egg Roll — Washington, DC
Of course, the classic Easter egg hunt is the White House Easter Egg Roll. Over 40,000 people attend the annual event, including an Easter egg roll across the South Lawn and a hunt. Tickets for the April 21 event are given out via a lottery system each year, and it’s one of the hottest tickets in town.
