The Easter Bunny is gathering all of his goodies and heading our way. If you’re the behind-the-scenes helper tasked with filling up this ubiquitous basket of spring treats for the little ones in your life, we have some ideas for you — from the traditional to the creative — that are bound to delight children of all ages, even the young at heart!
We spotted traditional, woven Easter baskets in multiple sizes and colors at Richard’s Variety Store in the Peachtree Battle shopping center. Channel your inner Martha and create your own paper ribbon (directions included in the link above). Or, wrap the handle in a bit of silk or grosgrain ribbon, add the pre-made, krinkled shed and you are good to go! These are perfect to use for home decor on a table, or for little ones ready for an afternoon egg hunt.
If you want to get more use out of your basket than just one day, we love the idea of this dump truck “basket.” The one below was created for a baby, but this is an idea that is easily changed for different ages. The truck could be repurposed for playtime in the sandbox once the Easter treats have been enjoyed.
B. Braithwaite has a few trucks and toys that are perfect for filling with Easter goodies. This turtle version below is delightful.
If you want to break out the paint pens and create your own basket, we love the idea of using a metal bucket. This can be as easy or complicated as you want and it is a great way to get children involved in the fun. Metal buckets are easily found at hardware stores, dollar stores, or Target.
And, if there is no time for DIY, but you want something special, we couldn’t help but smile at this adorable felt Easter pail at B. Braithwaite.
We hope this took the stress out of creating the perfect Easter basket!
