From antiqueΒ dΓ©cor pieces to new, functional furniture and stunning works of art, local businesses have us lusting after a handful of items that would look divine on our shelves, walls and floors. Today, we share a few of the higher-priced items β¦ the luxe list on our list of loves! DECOR WORTH THE DROOL
Luscious lamp
If you are in the market for a one-of-a-kind lamp, head toΒ Lumen Lamps. You will find yourself, hours later, still admiring all they have to offer. We would be happy to find a place in our home for thisΒ lamp, priced at $1,310. The interesting piece gives a nod to contemporary design, but its timeless sophisticationΒ gives it the ability to pair perfectly with more traditional pieces.
One gorgeous chandelier
Make a statement in any room with this fabulous modern lighting fixture by Kelly Wearstler. This is the Strada Oval Pendant and isnβt it just one to drool over? If you are in the middle of a renovation, perhaps a whole room should be decorated with this in mind! This piece is new and you can find it in the lighting section of AshBlue for $2,100. Coin silver tea set
Before sterling silver became popular, the A.H. Miller Company in Chicago crafted this gorgeous tea set from coin silver, circa 1860. Ivory escutcheons and incredible detail work set this tea service apart as special, but we love the size. To people of the era, aΒ large sugar bowl would have denoted great luxury, while the small pear atop the teapot was an additional signal of prosperity. Ornate Persian rug
We know that everyone across town is heartbroken at the thought of Bradfordβs Interiors closing its doors. This gorgeousΒ Ferahan Sarouk rug from the late 1800s is a fabulous reason to stop in one last time and find yet another perfect item for your home. The floor piece is beautifully woven and in excellent condition, with rich colors thatΒ would look stunning in any classic living or dining area. While the retail price would be $44,000, the sale price at Bradfordβs is $30,800.

βWinter Treeβ painting
James P. Garrett is one of very few artists using a Venetian plaster technique to create his stunning works. Garrett applies his βpaint,β aΒ ground marble and lime mixture, with a trowel or knife blade, allowing him to work in an entirely different way than artists with traditional paint and brushes. The buildup and layering creates a unique texture to the piece, which, because his work undergoes such rigorous polishing and varnishing, he encourages patrons to touch. We love the contrast between the sturdiness of the trunk and its texture and the frailty of the branches and twigs. The cool colors evoke the feeling of the barren months and remind us that (thankfully, on these hot August days) winter is coming. Available at Bennett Gallery for $6,800
Ed Nash sculpture
Local artist Ed Nash, who is known for his abstract, nonrepresentational work, showcases his tremendous talent with these two stunning sculptures, both available at Pierce & Company in Cool Springs. The unique, metal pieces, sold together or separately, are indulgent, yes. But if you have a little extra padding in the bank, these would makeΒ inspiring conversation pieces for any home. $2,550 each, pedestals included
French Impressionist painting
Marcel Adolphe Bain, a native Parisian, was known for his skill in the Impressionist style. Clearly influenced by leading artists of the era, like Claude Monet and Camille Pissaro, Bain captures the beauty of his home outside Paris, in Bois le Roy. His fleeting brushwork creates a movement within the work that resonates with the viewer. We can imagine exactly what he sees:Β his daughterΒ running away from his wifeΒ as a warm breeze ripples through the trees and grass on the midsummer day. Bainβs ability toΒ grant immortality to the transient moments of life was quintessential to the Impressionist era. βLa promenade dans le jardinβ is available at Stanford Fine Art for $38,000.

Hand blown and etched in Czechoslovakia, 3.2.1. Glassware has crafted this 16-fluid-ounce crystal decanter and set of four 7-ounce tumblers that are both classic and distinctly modern. Equally amazing on the bar, table or bedside, we love how the decanter morphs from a triangle to a circle and the heft of the showstopping glass βcork.β The decanter is available at Wilder for $349. Colorful glasswareΒ
This glassware is heavy and looks like art. Collect them all or pick the ones you like best. These Artel glasses are found at Epergne and are timelessly fabulous. At $195 each, you may want to start with just one or two and then add to your collection as the years go by. They are worth it!
