Today, we give you the lowdown on some fun events coming up in February. And since we know figuring out what to wear is half the battle when going out, we’ve taken the guesswork out for you with some great outfit options suitable for each event.
For this post, we partnered with some of our favorite local boutiques: Gus Mayer, Marella, Village Sportswear, Manhattan South and Calypso St. Barth.
EVENT: The Producers at Virginia Samford Theatre: Through February 8
Mel Brooks’ The Producers is a hilariously upbeat musical adapted from the cult classic film written by Brooks in the late ’60s. Directed by Ron Hudson and choreographed by Carl Dean, this comedy features a scheming duo of theatrical producers who set out to create the biggest flop in history in order to fleece their investors. Ironically, the show turns out to be a smashing success. The show is perfect for a date night or GNO, and the attire should be dressy casual, with a nod to theatrical elegance. To purchase tickets, click here.
A night at the theater can be interpreted any number of ways. We bring you three great looks, two from Calypso St. Barth and one from Village Sportswear:
