Say goodbye to skinny jeans, booties and cozy coats, and hello to flowing skirts, bohemian sandals and show-stopping cocktail dresses! We’ve made it to spring, and we’re taking advantage of the beautiful Birmingham weather with this colorful edition of “What to Wear.” Set against the billowing leaves and vibrant blossoms of the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, our models — the fresh and lively women from Neighborhood Barre and Club Pilates Cahaba Heights — are wearing looks for some of the most exciting April events in the ‘ham! Rebecca Williams, co-owner of Neighborhood Barre, lights up a room with her fabulously bright personality and brings the colors of our looks from Town and Country Clothes in Crestline to life. Paige Price, manager of Neighborhood Barre and serious barre babe, shows off how to add a bit of edge to your springtime style with fabulous bohemian looks from Elle Birmingham. And Laura Silsbee, future Club Pilates Cahaba Heights instructor, radiates light and breezy happiness while totally rocking our favorite colorful looks from Monkee’s of Mountain Brook. These looks are ideal for the upcoming April events — RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles at the Samford Arts Wright Center, The Baptist Health Foundation’s Wine, Women & Shoes and the Spring Food Truck Rally!

The Event: Wine, Women & Shoes
- April 13, 2017
- Event begins at 5 p.m.
- Ticket start at $125.
- For more information, visit winewomenandshoes.com.
The Wine, Women & Shoes event has exploded across the country in the past few years, and we are beyond excited that the Baptist Health Foundation has brought the event to The Club in Birmingham! This fun and festive event is meant to bring the women of our community together over fine wine and fashion — two of our favorite things! Attendees will enjoy a wine tasting; a fun “Key to the Closet” drawing, in which a winner will take home a “closet” of clothing, accessories, cosmetics and gift certificates; live and silent auctions; a photo shoot and an ultra-chic fashion show sponsored by Gus Mayer and the Shoe Guys. SB TIP: Put your best foot forward in the shoe department, as the Shoe Guys will be there to give awards for guests whose shoes are kickin’ it with major style! And, what’s more, all this fabulous fun supports the mission of the Baptist Health Foundation!
What to Wear: The Wine, Women & Shoes event is all about creative cocktail attire and fabulous statement heels, so the impeccably dressed women of Monkee’s of Mountain Brook helped us come up with three looks, modeled here by Laura Silsbee of Club Pilates Cahaba Heights, that will make you stand out in the crowd while dancing the night away!
