Since shifting its focus to flowers in 2020, Blue Rooster Farms has become a go-to destination for Birmingham residents seeking colorful blooms. Located just down the road in Shelby County, the farm has 30 to 40 flower varieties growing throughout the season.
Beyond U-pick flowers, the farm also hosts workshops, date nights, birthday parties, and smaller group gatherings, making it a fun destination whether youβre planning a family outing or simply looking for a peaceful escape.

U-pick experiences are available by appointment, giving you plenty of space to wander the fields and create a bouquet thatβs uniquely your own. Just outside Cullman, 4D Farm is one to keep on your radar β especially for its annual spring Tulip Festival when the fields burst into color. This seasonal favorite draws visitors from across the region who come to enjoy these few picture-perfect weeks outdoors.
After the tulips have their moment in the spotlight, the farm presses through the summer, reopening its fields in the fall.
