Nashville Reddit Hilariously Names Neighborhoods in WeHo Fashion
Nashville neighborhoods just got renamed in WeHo or SoBro fashion. Sylvan Park, you're now SylPar. Charlotte Park? CharPar. We're looking at you Green Hills, Belle Meade, East Nashville, The Gulch and more. You've been renamed in #NewNashville style. The results are hysterical.
If StyleBlueprint were a neighborhood name, we’d likely be nicknamed StyBlu. You see, there is a hilarious Nashville Reddit thread mocking the neighborhood name that many in Nashville cringe at, WeHo. It all stems from a photo, now deleted, where someone uploaded a photo of her car that she stated, “Gotta love Nashville drivers. Hit and run in weho. If you see a green truck with a smashed bumper, lmk!”
And, while we hate that anyone would have this happen to their car, the photo was very obviously not recent as the trees were full of green leaves and the roads were bone dry, on a day when it had been raining in Nashville for about a week.
The keen eye of the Nashville Reddit subgroup pointed all these things out, but really honed in on “WeHo.”
- “Please don’t call in weho”
- “No offense, but $%&$ is weho”
- “Something Nashvillians will never say”
- “Please, let’s not encourage it”
- “Born and raised and ain’t never heard nobody claim “weho”.”
It digressed from there with new neighborhood names being freely given, as why should only WeHo and SoBro get these nicknames?
- “Where are you fools at? Earlier we had a Weho – I’m out here reppin’ MouJue, have some friends in Murfbro…”
- “SYLPAR represent!”
- “Just north of you in CharPar! (To the left of TheNat)”
- “DnTn”
- “BeVu checking in”
- “SoNa or rather NipCo”
- “BeMea”
- “NipCo”
- “GreHi”
- “DikRd”
- “EstNa”
- “PerPrie”
- “IngWoo checking in”
- “I don’t think this game works for Donelson. DoSo? Djr? Little D?”
- “TheGu”
So, in full thanks to Reddit for coming up with the following names, we present the newest Nashville neighborhood interactive map, filled with neighborhood names Nashvillians will never say.
