Babalu

Founded in Jackson, Mississippi, Babalu is serving up Latin-inspired tacos and tapas with Southern flair in the Bluff City. With two locations in the Memphis area, Overton Square and East Memphis, Babalu is a convenient spot for lunch, dinner and a great happy hour as well as weekend brunch. Their menu consists of made-from-scratch options such as Cuban-style black bean soup, classic Latin-inspired tapas like lamb skewers, larger entrees like shrimp and grits and side offerings like Mexican street corn. The menu is perfect for sharing family-style and also features a good number of Southern classics. Babalu’s table-side guacamole receives rave reviews and is a definite must! With a hand-crafted cocktail menu, multiple specials throughout the week and a friendly, welcoming staff, Babalu is a delightful place to gather with both friends and family.
