Popping up everywhere from local restaurants to makers’ markets, these three shops make it easy to discover your next favorite book. Whether you’re a fan of a classic enemies-to-lovers trope or a juicy fake-dating storyline, Slow Burn Booksop offers all types of romance novels. Originally launched in Clarksville, the local shop has started popping up around Music City, including local favorites like Fait La Force Brewing and Bits & Pieces.
The shelves are always stocked with romance reads from indie and local authors — perfect for discovering a new favorite you won’t find at bigger bookshops. In addition to books, you’ll discover bookish goodies like Kindle covers, tote bags, bookmarks, and stickers.
Shadowed Pages Bookshop

Started by two full-time lawyers, Shadowed Pages Bookshop offers books for every type of reader — ranging from romantasy to general fiction, sci-fi, thrillers, and more. Another romance-focused option, Sugar & Spice Book Company is a newer addition to Nashville’s mobile bookstore scene. Wrapped in an adorable pink and red pattern (think cherries, cowboy boots, and hearts), it’s hard to miss the truck when it’s parked in front of local restaurants and shops. Founded by Christina Dura, Sugar & Spice offers a variety of novels, merch, and blind dates with books. You’ll also find a few bedazzled books — and even occasional events where you can decorate your own with jewels.
