RECIPE: Addictive Dill Pickle Dip with Bacon
Enjoy this dill pickle dip with bacon β best served layered up on a cake stand! I'm not sure a better dip exists in the universe. If you like pickles, that is. π
Why did I say this dip is addictive? Because whenever I make it, there is never anything left over. And, if I make it just because I want it, I then need to put it in a container and give it to a friend to get it out of my house, or I will eat it ALL.
This recipe consists of only five ingredients, and nothing is particularly remarkable until you mix those ingredients, wait 30 minutes, and scoop that rippled potato chip into the dip. And then β¦ this dip is all you will think about for the rest of the day. How is it sooooo good???!!!
Hereβs what youβll need:
- Whipped cream cheese
- Dill pickles
- Bacon
- Green onions
- Dill
- Optional: black pepper and/or crushed red pepper to taste
- Serve this with Ruffles potato chips with ridges.

I love this dip so much that I would consider spooning it onto mini pieces of pumpernickel bread for a more sophisticated presentation β then you can use the recipe for passed hors dβoeuvres. Top each one with a pickle chip, a teeny piece of bacon, and a little sprig of fresh dill.
The only thing that will take you extra time to make this recipe is cooking the bacon. Otherwise, this dip is a βmix, wait, and serveβ appetizer.
Serving this dill pickle with bacon dip on a cake stand to create what we are coining, βcake stand dips,β elevates it immediately β far more than serving it in a bowl with some chips around it. Itβs far prettier and easier to scoop. It also means you get more of the yummy additional toppings β¦ and who doesnβt love MORE pickles, bacon, and dill?
