On a mission to make women feel celebrated and supported, this Nashville Limo Queen is the chief financial officer of Signature Transportation AND the founder of a new female-operated transportation company called Adept Luxury Transportation. In a male-dominated industry, she’s all about building up her community of hard-working women. Get to know this fabulous FACE of Nashville!

Can you share a bit about your upbringing and professional background?
I was very strong-willed as a child. I was (and am) full of tenacity and have a love of organization and a plan. I ran across a post recently that stated, “My neighbor saw my toddler streaking through our yard and said, ‘I had one of those, and now she is CEO of a company. She may almost kill you, but she’ll do great things in this world. Hang in there!'” I shared it with my mom, and all she could say was, “Oh, so true!”
As a little girl, I spent my summer days with my granny, who was an antique picker before that was popular. I witnessed sales, entrepreneurship, business, bartering, and some money management.
I knew I was meant for an accounting profession when I took my first course as a sophomore in high school. It all came naturally to me, and I understood it easily. Most of all, I loved it! I think that is the key to success, no matter what you do in life — you’ve got to love it, or it will not serve you well.
I knew that no matter where I ended up, there would be a need for accounting; all industries need this profession to succeed. I have been fortunate enough to work across numerous industries.

Tell us all about the Nashville Limo Queens!
When I entered this role, I wanted to cultivate a culture where women felt supported and celebrated. In the early stages of my career as a young professional, I never had this experience or saw it modeled. I didn’t have a network in this industry, nor did I have a foundation of relationships that I could call on for work or personal life-experience support. When I joined this male-dominated industry, it was even more apparent.
I had the opportunity to build a team. My vision was for it to be inclusive and supportive. There’s always a seat at our table; come sit with us! Aside from that, I want to support the work-life balance, get the work done, and have fun at the same time.
We have built a community of women supporting women. It is a great testimony to how an office can work in symmetry. Women supporting women presents a wonderful example for the future generation, specifically our daughters.

Can you tell us about the scope of your role and what your day-to-day looks like?
Signature Transportation is a 24/7 company with a global footprint. As the chief financial officer, I work on something different every day. Our business is quickly evolving and growing. I’m always working on day-to-day tasks typical of a finance department.
On any given day, I am planning and budgeting for our future expansions by securing financing, finding tactical solutions to our space and logistics challenges, and working with our human resources team due to our staff’s varied roles and responsibilities.
What is your absolute favorite part of your job?
My absolute favorite part is the people! I am so lucky to call them my friends outside of the office.

I’ve been approached for a reality show centered around the Nashville Limo Queens and Signature Transportation. Wouldn’t that be fun?!

What’s on the horizon for you?
I just formed a female-owned-and-operated transportation company, Adept Luxury Transportation, with my partners/friends/co-workers.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever given or received?
