The Son of a Butcher started as a response to the pandemic’s impact on the restaurant industry. Before 2020, Evans Meats supplied Birmingham’s restaurants with premium meats and specialty products. Their Pepper Place storefront offers meats, seafood, cheeses, and specialty foods from local suppliers and curated vendors. Experienced butchers, cheesemongers, and fishmongers help customers find the right cuts and pairings. They also serve gourmet sandwiches during the week — but hurry, they go fast!
