Springtime is finally here, and with it comes warmer weather and the official start of Derby season. Plus, with outdoor sports, Earth Day, and theater shows on the docket, there’s plenty to see and do around Louisville this month. Mark your calendars!

March 30 – April 5, 2026: Louisville Taco Week

Snag $3 tacos from more than a dozen of Derby City’s popular taco spots. To participate in Louisville Taco Week, download the official app and share your experiences on social media. April 1 – 12, 2025: Storytelling Revolution Festival

Hosted by Actors Theatre in collaboration with Louisville Fringe, this event features two weekends of bold new work from regional artists. April 4 – 27, 2026: Party for the Planet

April 10, 2026: Look Again Louisville

Celebrate trees, community, and sustainability at Louisville’s Arbor Day celebration. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., this free, family-friendly event features a park walk, a tree giveaway, a ceremonial tree planting, and a birding hike. April 17, 2026: Swan Lake

Catch the show as World Ballet Company presents a Broadway-caliber production of the world’s most iconic ballet live at the Louisville Palace. April 18, 2026: RESTORE: Healthy Planet, Healthy You

April 18, 2026: 2026 FUN-DER Viewing Party

This is another unique way to experience Thunder Over Louisville. Guests can enjoy panoramic indoor views at this family-friendly event, which includes snacks, dinner, and dessert, as well as access to a private cash bar, activities for everyone, and opportunities to win tickets to upcoming KFC Yum! events. April 18, 19, 25 & 26, 2026: Derby Festival Volleyball Classic

Check out one of the U.S.’s largest outdoor volleyball tournaments for four days at two locations. April 21, 2026: 2026 Taste of Derby Festival

Get ready to taste your way through Kentuckiana via 100+ local food and beverage makers.
